Sun Moon Lake Hotel — Hotel in Dalian City

This is a genuine four-star property in fairly good condition. Location is a bit tucked-away off the main road (Chiangjiang Jie) next to the railway tracks: advantage - very close to Dalian Railway Station; disadvantage - some train whistle and engine noises in the night. Hotel staff were pleasant, but no English available. My cheap internet rate (I thought good value) did not include breakfast. There is a Western buffet breakfast available on the second floor, but I went twice to the Chinese buffet breakfast on the third floor and was charged Y30 cash each time. A good variety of Chinese dishes, some congee and soup, and a reasonable spread of fruit - Y30 was cheap for this. ||Closest subway station is Youhou Square.||My room had "sea views" but it was a distant glimpse of the industrial port, although interesting, Matress was comfortable, towels very clean and fluffy, modern plumbing with plenty of hot water in a biggish bathroom.
