Dalian Hotel — Hotel in Dalian City

I stayed here for 4 nights because my conference is at the Dalian World Expo Center. I think this is the nearest hotel which the conference organizer recommended. There is shuttle everyday to the Expo. With the shuttle it took about 5 minutes but by walking it will take slightly more than 20 minutes. Its quite hot this time of the year (June 2013).||The Xinghai Park (famous Park in Dalian) is at the expo. Its quite beautiful place and thus this hotel is very convenient to stay.||Breakfast is at 25th floor. Quite good. We also have lunch and dinner at the same floor.||The Standard Room is quite spacious and clean.||I only have slight problem communicating with the hotel staff since they did not know English well enough. Magnificent old hotel at the heart of the city right on Zhongshan Square. Although it is a fading glory from the past the lobby is still a charming testament to when the city and the hotel were new.||It is quiet even though it is on the bustling square, the food is fine but do be sure to stop by the coffee shop on the second floor.||They great you with a Japanese welcome, many many Japanese come to the city and the hotel as tourists.||The staff is friendly, the English adequate, but don't expect a long conversation.||The rooms are large but the shape is irregular. They are clean.
