The mamagement takes pride in systematically betraying the guests, may it be at check in (giving the wrong room type), may it be at check out (refusing to pay back the deposit), may it be at the restaurant (delivering the wrong dishes and then want to charge for it), may it be at the breakfast buffet (not replenishing it already at 8 am).||The room is yuck and full of fungus and cockroaches, the room maid cleans the whole room with a dry toilet brush, including the toilet and the shower!!! This is definitely not what you want if you go to China on a business trip. WIFI not working or extremely slow and unusable. They present you with a lot of fake personnel, people which even dont work there. A lot of weird smell comes out of their massage room, lot of whores inside, you really dont want to put a foot inside, not if you dont want to get a disease. That is a chinese red light district hotel, which is really the worst place I have ever stayed in China. The base price is only 20USD per night, but they sell it to foreigners almost for 70USD. So don't get busted by them, the real worth is probably around 10USD. Never again my friend, even...
Read moreAm staying at the royal garden hotel for the canton fair. Went to the spa as it can difficult to find trustworthy ones in Guangzhou. We chose the 238 RMB 90 minute oil massage and were asked to pay 248 RMB which was fine (about $50 AUD) the spa is actually much bigger than expected with many rooms. Nothing too special about the rooms but we’re given a tea and slice of watermelon. A fresh pair of shorts and wrap top came out of their own plastic bag. Ladies we’re pleasant and I asked to be a little more gentle and they helped to translate what we requested on their phone. It was more of a transitional Chinese massage than a luxurious Swedish one (which was what I expected anyway, I wasn’t at a 5 star hotel!) it was a nice massage and met my expectations for the price. But don’t think your getting a luxury experience and you’ll enjoy yourself :) all in all a nice, decent priced massage in a clean room...
Read moreI had a terrible experience in this hotel last week. There was a very drunk Brazilian man who was ranting away with racist remarks 9am on a Sunday morning in the hotel lobby. I was passing by the front reception counter and was shock he came after me. He kept hurling racist remarks and wanted to pick a fight on me. I tried to calm down. I pleaded with the staff in the reception counter to help me call security or the police. They ignored me and finally i was hit in the face by this man and he ran away. My Chinese colleagues came down and gave chase and caught this man in the road. I was also informed by another hotel guest that this man also created a scene 2 days earlier. I asked the front desk that i wanted to see the manager but they he was off duty! My advice to foreigners, stay away from this hotel. You dont want to be in a hotel were the hotel staff do nothing for your protection. It...
