We spent 3 nights here during our visit of GZ light fair. It locates on the other side of the river bank of the exhibition center, so it takes around 15-20 minutes' drive to the fair. The MRT station is around 5 minutes of walk away, but sometimes it is really painful to walk outside given such hot and humid weather. There are some very basic conveniece stores next to the hotel selling some canned water and drinks. Shuttle bus service was offered by the hotel twice a day, but it was very crowded, and one had to fight for his way to get on it since no one was waiting in line.||||The room was awful during our stay; one of my collegue got a room without air condition, another got one with mosquitoes, and the toilet of mine was out of order on the first day. You can spot the cracks on the wallpaper and the duct tape on the air conditioner from the photos; I really don't think all of these should exist in a 4 star hotel. Plus, there was no refrigerator in the room.||||The hotel offered free breakfast (chinese food only), but it didn't come with good quality. Some food tasted weird according to my collegues, so I only ate mantou these days, which tasted okay to me.||||It definitely not a...

Read moreFirst dont't let them fool you by the picture of the hotel. It seems it is right next to the Canton fair but it isn't. The easiest way to get to the fair is by metro. It's 3 stops from the hotel. The hotel has a small shuttle bus to the fair but it's a mess. They don't let people line up so when the bus arrives everyone is just fighting to get on it. I didn't bother after the second day and simply took the metro for 2 RMB.||The hotel is really old. The rooms, reception area, 'restaurant',... ||The beds are rockhard and if you are a Westerner you can forget about breakfast. No Western breakfast at all, just noodles and rice. Not even coffee!!!||I just had my breakfast at the fair every day or at the Mc Donald on the way to the MRT.||The mini bar is a refrigirator that is not plugged in and that is empty. If you are under the shower the water changes within a second from warm to boiling hot!!!||Bath ammenities are non existing. There is a little sealed plastic bag with shower gel, toothbrush and toothpaste, conditionner, etc... for which you have to pay extra!!!||One more little detail, the hotel is right next to a school. Kids screaming from early morning and...
