Highly recommended! The room and bed were well appointed and comfortable. Next to a main road (common in Guangzhou) but the windows sound proof well and I used the fan for a little extra white noise. The A/C unit was turned off for the "winter" I suppose but I was still a little warm, luckily I could remove the comforter from the duvet to cool down (opening the one tiny window didn't do much even with unusually cold weather). The breakfast had a wide variety both Western and Chinese. The complimentary late checkout of 2pm was very useful for me. Check in and staff experience was good. You may be tempted to try Mr. Rocky across the street, an American Texas style bar & restaurant, skip the "award winning" steak and you'll be happy :) Plenty of shopping and food options (mostly Asian but a couple others) very close, you'll have to take some steps to cross the road. This is my 2nd stay at the property. In fact, I did hesitate before going for it this second time. The reason is that I did not enjoy the first stay (back in 2020) at all because the room was very small with too small space to move around. This time, the space was much larger (room number 1001) even though I thought that I booked the same type of room and rate level.The drawback is that the airconditioning was not appropriate. Guangzhou was baking during my 3-night stay and I felt it was pretty hot despite the temperate being set below 20 degrees.In general, however, I am satisfied with the property and it will be my priority choice whenever I go...
