Park Hyatt Guangzhou is a truly unique hotel. While other top-end hotels chase after grandness, sophistication, and luxuriousness, Park Hyatt keeps up its pursuit for simplicity and nature and performs them in a magically elegant fashion. It is a hotel as fresh as a deep tranquil bamboo forest, where the only sound one can hear comes from the wind.Such emphasis on simplicity and nature is well manifested in its rooms. Park Hyatt Guangzhou substantially utilizes plain wooden furniture – from its mini-bar cardboard, desk, bedside table, to its floor. The furniture is so simple to the extent that I would not be surprised if someone told me they come from the village house of a grassroots family in rural Hunan. However, it is on these simple items that Park Hyatt Guangzhou plays its magic. The hotel hosts these pieces of furniture on top of a plain but exquisite background, thus extracting the simple beauty inside them while cleaning all their humble elements away. That is why I would say that the interior design of Park Hyatt Guangzhou is really an art masterpiece. It is easy to design a lovely room by using luxurious materials, but it requires a master to create something adorable by using humble items, and Park Hyatt Guangzhou does just that. Because of so, the vibe of Park Hyatt Guangzhou is the most unique among all the top-end hotels in Guangzhou, which all opt for the easier route of luxuriousness. It is because of this that I would also say that Park Hyatt Guangzhou is the hotel that can calm one’s mind the most in Guangzhou. I said that Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is like an oasis in a bustling town; now, I would say that Park Hyatt Guangzhou is even more than that – it is an Alps forest in the most premium land of southern China. The people at Park Hyatt Guangzhou are so as well. Every lady and gentleman I had the honor to encounter at Park Hyatt Guangzhou diffused out a great sense of peace and calm. Usually, this is not an ideal quality for hotel people because it means the lack of enthusiasm when communicating with their guests. However, it is not the case in Park Hyatt Guangzhou. While sending out enormous peace and calm, the ladies and gentlemen at Park Hyatt Guangzhou could still all make me feel incredibly warm and cared for. If this is not magic, what is magic? It is especially so with Ms. Beryl Tang, who helped me change my room without any hesitation even when it was already midnight. Beyond that, Beryl even personally guided me to visit different rooms and informed me about the characteristics of each room in a manner that could not be more friendly and genuine. Our exchange was short because of your efficiency but I really enjoyed it, Beryl. It really surprised me when I realized that it was still your internship. I had never imagined that such a young lady would be able to deliver such professional services, which were professional to the extent that I thought you already had many years of experience in the industry! I firmly believe you will soon become a superstar in the hotel industry, Beryl! Thanks...

My family and I had high expectations for this hotel after a fantastic week-long stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, where the staff were warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, Park Hyatt Guangzhou ended up being the biggest disappointment I've had in over 25 years of staying at various Hyatt properties around the world.||||To start with the positives: the hotel is architecturally stunning. The rooms are modern and clean, and the view—especially of the Canton Tower at night from the bar—is absolutely breathtaking.||||However, the service did not match the high standards we’ve come to expect from the Hyatt brand. Throughout our four-day stay, very few staff acknowledged us in public areas. Many avoided eye contact entirely, which was both surprising and disappointing given the reputation and level of this property.||||The first major issue occurred when I approached the front desk to ask about the Wi-Fi. The staff member assisting me was typing continuously during the entire exchange and didn’t even look up. I found this to be quite rude. To her credit, she did eventually stop, apologized, and provided her card for future assistance — which I appreciated at the time.||||Later that day, I noticed the hair conditioner in our room hadn’t been refilled and was nearly empty. Mildly annoyed, I emailed the staff member from earlier, asking housekeeping to ensure it was replenished the next day. She responded promptly and kindly, assuring me it would be taken care of.||||However, the next morning—right in the middle of washing my daughter’s hair—I discovered the conditioner still hadn’t been replaced. Anyone with a child who has easily tangled hair will understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you’ve already flagged it and received a reply. This shouldn't happen at any Hyatt property, much less a Park Hyatt. We contacted the front desk, and while they were apologetic, it was too late—we had to rush out to our scheduled activities without resolving the issue.||||The rest of our stay was uneventful, but the overall experience had already been soured by then.||||In summary: while the property itself is beautiful, with updated rooms and incredible views, it doesn't make up for the lack of attentive service and an indifferent staff. If you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation in Guangzhou, I would recommend considering other luxury hotels in the area. There’s no shortage of excellent options with far...

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Park Hyatt Guangzhou team for the wonderful hospitality that we received while in residence. It was obviously a busy period for the hotel and the city, we were still delighted with the trademark Park Hyatt treatment! A few of the more memorable moments:||1) Kudos to your F&B establishments for delivering consistently top-notch experiences. Our stay started with lunch at the Living Room where we were personally greeted by (I believe) your F&B Director - the personal touch that I have come to appreciate with the Park Hyatt brand. Food and service were great and we were able to have a satisfying meal before the children left for their class. Breakfast at the Dining Room was equally fabulous. My younger son rated it 10/10 which is no mean feat considering the number of other top-notch breakfasts that he has experienced over the years (including in your sister properties around the world). I really liked how you offered local specialties which changed daily alongside international favourites (I miss the glutinous rice cakes!). Finally the highest praise goes to your signature Cantonese restaurant Yue Jing Xuan. Meticulously prepared Cantonese cuisine paired with impeccable service and unparalleled views - it is no wonder we saw full houses on the two days that we dined there. Well done to the team for delivering such Epicurean delights across all of your venues!||2) I would also like to call out the cheerful and personable driver of your house car (this was the gentleman who drove the BMW 7-series). He was a great ambassador for the hotel - patient, warm and unflappable in the hectic Guangzhou traffic. He provided advice on how best to get to the city from Hong Kong and made sure we were comfortable throughout our short journeys. He is a credit to the team.||3) Our housekeeper was a very nice lady who was never without a smile. She patiently and cheerfully enquired when we would like our suite serviced, and did an outstanding job throughout our stay. Every cushion was put back to its original position on the sofa and we came back to a suite that was spick-and-span at the end of the day.||4) Compliments to the front-of-house team who checked us in and out with great efficiency. Special shout-out to Joy who always remembered our names and very quickly resolved issues. The bellman and concierge were equally adept at their jobs, ensuring a smooth experience from...

Of all the Hyatt properties I’ve visited, the Park Hyatt Guangzhou stands out as a masterclass in systemic failure. Staying here is an expensive lesson in frustration from start to finish. My ordeal began at the Chinese restaurant. Despite placing an early order for my dinner, the service was glacially slow. Simply getting a server’s attention was a Herculean task; I had to wave and call out for ages before anyone would even make eye contact. The food took forever, turning what should have been a pleasant meal into a test of patience. The low point came when a server knocked over and spilled my drink. The most infuriating part wasn't the accident itself, but the reaction: there was no apology. None. When I asked for a replacement bottle, the server initially refused and argued before reluctantly bringing a new one. The lack of basic accountability was staggering. Later, the restaurant manager offered a hollow "gesture of apology": a box of snacks I was to collect at checkout. Well, checkout arrived, and the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about. As I tried to explain the situation, the General Manager of the hotel was standing right there, in plain view. When I asked to speak with him, the receptionist began to hem and haw, looking nervously between us, likely assuming I couldn't understand English and trying to shield him. It was a blatant and insulting display of avoidance. After much insistence, the mythical "apology box" finally materialized. And in a final, perfect touch of ignominy, the contents had spilled all over the inside of the paper bag. It was messy, careless, and added insult to injury. This isn't just about one spilled drink or a slow meal. It's about a culture of apathy, where staff are untrained, unaccountable, and management is physically present yet completely inaccessible. Save your money. This hotel's one-star rating is generous. A truly abysmal experience.

Park Hyatt GZ is beautifully designed with very spacious rooms and a great location. However, the service is lacking for a hotel of this tier. I booked a Hyatt Prive rate and received a confirmed in advance upgrade, which was nice. The river view room was beautiful, and the aesthetic of the hotel, from the lobby, to the rooms, to the rooftop bar, is excellent and tasteful. Service though doesn't feel like a true luxury hotel and is lacking compared to competing brands such as Ritz Carlton, Kempinski, or Six Senses. There just didn't seem to be much staff around to help. For example, when checking out it took them over 20 minutes to send a porter to grab my luggage. The front desk was staffed by 1 person at check out. At the rooftop bar and the breakfast the service was slow and inconsistent, with items forgotten. Staff generally don't proactively greet you. I will say the breakfast spread is excellent though, with good amount of tasty ala-carte items and a delicious buffet. There was some debris in the room which hadn't been vacuumed and the headboard of the bed was quite dusty. All in all, I didn't really mind, but it doesn't feel truly luxurious which I'd expect from this brand. It feels more like a Grand Hyatt.

Very bad stay experience in all luxury hotels that i used to stayed. my friends and i booked 2 rooms for our trip, unfortunately both of the rooms not reached the standard that we expected for park hyatt. - the reception was not friendly at all, she made me feel she just want the process done, no any hospitality or service mind. - the 1st room is very stinky from bathroom, then we been arranged another room which is nice. - the 2nd room was nice, but after we stay a while we find there is a ring next to my bed which makes me think the room not been cleaned up closely before we check in, but we super concerned the feeling of the owner of the ring, she most been very sad when she find she lost her ring. High light: the HSKP manager named Sophie was super nice, and she fixed all the problem with ver positive attitude, we appreciated all the thing that she done. because of Sophie we decided to stay one more night with hyatt.
