Huacheng Square, or Flower City Square (Chinese: 花城广场), is the largest city square in the city of Guangzhou. The square is situated on the city axis in Zhujiang New Town (珠江新城）, occupies an area of about 22 square miles, with Haixinsha Island (海心沙島）to its south and Huangpu Avenue （黃埔大道）to its north. Guangzhou Opera House, Guangdong Museum and Guangzhou Library, Guangzhou Children’s Palace are also located around the square. On the surface the square is pedestrian area with parks, ponds, fountain and free of vehicle traffic, making this a popular location for locals and tourists alike. Especially in the evening when the view of the Canton Tower and the tall buildings in the Zhujiang New Town area with all the colorful light decorations. Underneath this whole pedestrian square area are the Guangzhou APM lines with its four stations. Also located beneath is the Mall of the World shopping center, bus stations and metro stations.

Visited on May 10, 2025. Free to visit this area. Normally people visit at evening to chillout and enjoy night lights. This square is really big and can spend 1-2hrs just roaming and chilling out. It has Haixinsha Island to its south and Huangpu Avenue to its north. Guangzhou Opera House, Guangdong Museum and Guangzhou Library, Guangzhou Children’s Palace are also located around the square. On the surface the square, it is pedestrian area with parks, ponds, fountain and free of vehicle traffic. In the evening, this place becomes one of most visited places by locals and tourist both as the view of the Canton Tower and the tall buildings surrounding the square with all the colorful light decorations becomes very beautiful. In the underground, it has the Guangzhou APM lines with its four stations. Also located beneath is the Mall of the World shopping center, bus stations and metro stations.

Absolutely stunning area to walk around in and enjoy the warm weather of Guangzhou. At night this place really lights up with the mall of the world below it, and the sky scrapers above it. It also offers an amazing view of the Canton tower which also lights up in dazzling colors. Most building lights turn off around 11pm, but still people around and enjoying themselves. Lots of great option to eat within a short walk, but I would say the mall of the world down below is more of a quick bite than long dinner. All in all, if you are in Guangzhou, it’s almost impossible to miss this place and absolutely one to come and visit, especially in the evening!

IG: iamcynditravel XHS: cynditravel Great huge square/park to walk around. At night, this place is packed with locals and foreigners alike. And it's a must go place in Guangzhou. This is the place where the authentic Guangzhou Tower is frequently taken from. And the cityscape of Guangzhou is totally amazing, viewing from here. Especially the two tallest towers in Guangzhou. You can walk for hours here, connecting Huacheng Square to shopping malls all the way to the riverside. You can even take the bridge that crosses the river to the other side, where the tower is located. It's worth a visit. We stayed for a few hours here.

La Plaza Huacheng , o Plaza de la Ciudad de las Flores 花城广场, es la plaza más grande de la ciudad de Cantón . La plaza está situada en el eje de la ciudad en Zhujiang New Town , ocupa un área de 56 kilómetros cuadrados (22 millas cuadradas) con la isla HaixingSha al sur y la Avda HangPu al norte. La Ópera de Guangzhpu , el Museo de GuangDong y la Biblioteca también se encuentran alrededor de la plaza. Debajo de toda la zona se encuentra la línea APM de Guangzhou con sus 4 estaciones, así como el centro comercial Mall of the World con muchos túneles que conectan con otros centros comerciales, estaciones de autobús BRT y estaciones de metro. En la superficie, es una zona peatonal libre de coches y bicicletas con parques, estanques y fuentes, lo que la convierte en un destino popular para locales y turistas. Mi visita en 2018 fue por estudios y trabajo. Fue un lugar que visité varias veces...dando un paseo y asistiendo a un Festival Importante decorado todo con flores naturales. Un lugar demasiado moderno de rascacielos que impresiona observar. Por la noche se ven fantásticas vistas de ellos, es interesante ver el mundo que se mueve bajo estos edificios luminosos. Personalmente, para mí son espacios monstruosos que sirven para ir de compras... Prefiero los lugares con otros encantos y lugares antiguos con mucha vegetación. Es un área de asfalto que te seca si hace mucha humedad...

Đi bộ tại đây có thể ngắm được tòa Canton Tower và dòng sông Châu Giang lung linh. ✅ Tiện ích xung quanh đầy đủ: Xung quanh quảng trường có rất nhiều trung tâm thương mại, nhà hàng, quán cà phê và công viên nhỏ, rất tiện để dạo chơi và check-in. 📌 Lưu ý nhỏ: Quảng trường khá rộng, nếu muốn đi dạo buổi tối nên mang giày thoải mái. Cuối tuần thường đông người, nên đi vào ngày thường sẽ thư thái hơn. 💯 Một điểm đến không thể bỏ qua khi đến Quảng Châu!
