Elevating Opulence with a Riverside Symphony at The Ritz-Carlton, Harbin
My recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Harbin, in the Club Premier Panoramic River room was truly extraordinary, with an average nightly rate of IDR 9,509,235. Positioned perfectly for the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, some rooms and suites offer direct views of the venue, capturing the essence of the city's blend of Russian and Chinese culture.
Club Premier Panoramic River Room: Despite a slightly smaller size, the room's aesthetics were captivating, emanating muted luxury vibes. A delightful touch was the piano-shaped chocolate, a harmonious welcome to Harbin as the music city.
Captivating Design: The hotel's design, inspired by old Harbin railways and the Trans-Siberian train routes, was a unique blend of Russian and Chinese cultures. The intricate details, from the Ice Ritz culture sculpture to the Nutcracker, exuded charm, creating an exceptional ambiance in the lobby lounge, main restaurant, club lounge, and public areas.
Facilities in Pristine Condition: The brand-new hotel boasted pristine facilities, including a well-equipped gym with a perfect river view, a heated pool, and spa facilities with breathtaking views of the city and the frozen river.
Exceptional Service: The warm and personal service was a standout, with special appreciation for Alvin, the EAM Room, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure top-notch service. Even in moments where other staff seemed somewhat stiff and transactional, Alvin's dedication shone through.
Central Riverside Location: The hotel's prime location in the well-built and riverside area allowed for leisurely strolls along the frozen Songhua Jiang, enhancing the overall experience.
Ritz-Carlton Club Delight: The Ritz-Carlton Club, offering five food presentations, was a highlight of my stay, with lounge staff providing impeccable service. Every moment spent there was thoroughly enjoyable.
Dyptique Bath Amenities: Adding a personal touch, the bath amenities were of Dyptique, my preferred perfume brand, enhancing the overall luxurious experience.
Conclusion: My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Harbin, in the Club Premier Panoramic River room was a symphony of luxury, culture, and outstanding service. Despite the minor room size, the captivating design, pristine facilities, delightful Ritz-Carlton Club, and the personal touch of Dyptique bath amenities made it a memorable experience. I eagerly look forward to returning to savor the unique charm and warmth of The Ritz-Carlton, Harbin,...

Read moreIt helps that the hotel is new but there are many new hotels in China. What made the stay here remarkable were the wonderful staff. The room attendant (I was in 4617, sorry I don't know her name. Ms. Son perhaps?) changed my pillow without asking as she could see I was struggling with the fluffy ones. Extra-extra water appeared also unasked, very appreciated in such a dry climate. Andy on the Ground Floor reception desk found hats we could borrow for the duration of our stay for my wife and I as he noticed we were poorly prepared for the weather, the next day gave us an enthusiastic guide to where to shop and eat around Saint Sophia's Cathedral. Rohit, again on the Ground Floor took time to share his unique perspectives on the city as an outsider. At breakfast another staff member (the name escapes me, a gentleman from from Hefei) also took time to not just mechanically ask if 'everything was alright' but then engage us in his perspective of the city with recommendations for things to do when the weather was kinder. Jarvis, again at breakfast, noticed coffee and tea when half empty and actually appeared to enjoy filling us up. And so it went on. We were here for four nights and I've only been able to remember a few names and interactions but front desk staff were informed and helpful, our taxi to the airport was arranged in minutes and overall the staff gave off a professional and engaged vibe you don't get in many of the other better hotels in China where you feel staff are drilled hard but not having much fun. What makes all this even more remarkable is that the hotel seemed super busy and I could see we were not being singled out for special treatment. Congratulations to all for delivering what so many hotels promise but so few deliver, a home away from home feel in a glorious property. Naturally,...
