We've (5 students from Germany and me from Kyrgyzstan) stayed at this lovely hostel for 3 days in the beginning of September 2016. Very cozy hostel with really friendly stuff. First they picked us from bus station, allowed to do laundry providing with wash machine, washing powder and the place to hang the clothes (for no charge). After three weeks traveling this was a first thing we needed. A beautiful lady who speaks perfect English helped us with city map and sent the postcards for us. English speaking stuff is really important if you don't speak Chinese or Tibet language. The hostel location is comfortable to go around the old city, rooms are clean in old Tibet style with shampoo, gel shower and clean towels. My husband had a birthday at this hostel, so the stuff gave us 2 bottles of home made red wine (for free, one bottle costs 70 RMB) which was unexpected nice. Every day we spend warm chilling evening with the stuff who just offered us cigarettes, warm tee, some snacks. Very impressive, I never had such a warm welcoming experience. ...

Yet it's short enough a walk after alighting from the car that having big luggage like us didn't find any problems. Also the host was very helpful to carry the heavier luggage. The place is quiet and homey and the host brothers are friendly and willing to help. Both Guishan Park (龟山公园) and Yueguang Plaza (月光广场) are just around the corner....
