I was on a business trip. Hotel Mehood was conveniently located near my business venue. Checkin is a little slow but no major complaints about that. One needs to speak putonghua otherwise conversations over the counter will be difficult. Refreshing cup of Chinese tea is offered while waiting to be served at the reception. Room is very nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. There is a fridge with additional refreshments displayed but to be paid for if taken. Bathroom is clean with the usual amenities provided. Wifi is free and good enough for emails and for surfing. ||There is a restaurant which serves a good Chinese breakfast. ||There are a number of good restaurants across from the hotel in a shopping centre for dinners. ||Friendly hotel staff. ||The hotel was able to book me a cab to the airport at early hours of...
Read moreStay for 2 nights and found the room clean and tidy. While not a very big room it is suitable for 2 people . The bed was soft and cosy, generally beds in China are hard. The widow opened which allowed freash air in and as l was on the 18th floor the street noise was minimal. We had our supplier who spoke Chinese check us in . Be patient if you speak english as the staff might understand but are not good at english speaking. We found out to late that the room above the 16th floor do not have english television channels or movies. The floors below thw 16th have english movies. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose from including eggs , bacon , toast and hot orange juice ? Found to cost of the stay very resonable and the location of the hotel is next to very nice resturants. Will stay agin but get a room below...

We actually wondered if the reviews we had read on Trip Advisor were of a different hotel, but it was not so!||||The location is poor with little near the hotel of any interest.||||Small reception on sixth floor with breakfast area off. This was small and crowded with poor quality breakfast, lots of smoking and no air conditioning. The carpets in the corridors were badly worn as was the carpet and facilities in our room (1810).||||Internet cost was 60 Yuan/ hr - by far the most expensive we experienced in China.||Staff were generally helpful but not well trained. I am sure you could do much better...
