Muji Hotel — Hotel in Shenzhen

Uograded to the Type E room on a Type D booking. Thx Muji. If you are into Wabi-Sabi of Muji like us, this hotel is worth a try. It is first of the three Muji hotels Worldwide according to the material. (Two are in China, Muji you have done some well here)We enjoyed the collection of the small library outside the Gym room. Great location we picked this hotel partly because of a planned trip to the nearby mountain park walks the next morning. Really fee good with some rest in a well prepared room before and after the walk. Breakfast like some other guest review says, not the best. Variety, food quality and overall experiences are not comparable with a typical 5-star American chain resort hotel buffet breakfast, of course. For example the coffee machine is kind of slow. And it feel bad when we see the staff take out the packing of “Ajisen” packing when cooking the Ramen in breakfast, even make us wonder about the quality “Muji Dining”. Kind of expected, what can we expect given Muji have to control cost in the restaurant? But still a bit a put off I reckon, not of the value considering the premium price we have paid for the room. Anyway we are here for the Muji style room not for the food so overall we still give high rating...

Love Muji Hotel for its simplicity. Just like Muji products, simple, clean-line .. zen!! They provide diffuser with 2 types essential oil to choose from. Stayed her on few different occasions. Love their rooms, their breakfast that is served in bento kind, 2-3 different type of menu, japanese, western, maybe chinese and with additional porridge buffet/salad/fruits/beverages served. However, the bento set dont change much over the week, if u stayed here for more than 2-3 days, you get the same bento set. The hotel is just next to a pretty new and currently very popular mall. They have less than 100 rooms, think was 70+, serving biz travellers as there are 2 office buildings nearby and the other hotel there is alot more expensive. Heard that many HK people like to stay there, too. Oh, wish they have shelter walkway to the mall cos few times i was there, it was raining. Getting off a cab outside the lobby will get u wet, too. Oh, no cable tv prog, mostly local channels. They have so good...
