Golden Crown China Hotel — Hotel in Taipa

My flight was rescheduled and I had a night at Macau. Since it is a short layover, I decided to book this as this is the nearest to the Macau Airport. The only advantage of Golden Crown China Hotel is that it is just outside the airport. Just cross the zebra crossing and you can check in to the hotel.The Hotel lobby is small, there is no sofa for guests to hang around and sit. The only place you can sit is in front of the reception. The hotel does not offer early check-in, so it's quite strict, earliest is at 2.30pm. The Hotel is quite dated and seems to be a 3-star hotel by today's standards.Facilities wise, the lift has a sign for the swimming pool, is on level 8. When I went to level 8, there was also a sign for swimming pool. But at the swimming pool door, it says the swimming pool is temporarily closed. I think they need to update their signs. In terms of amenities, the hotel gives you half a roll of toilet roll although they did accommodate with 2 toilet roll holders (the other being empty). Also to mentioned, I only flushed the toilet once and it choked a bit. It was stuck before I came and I had to call room service and the attendant used the pump to pump it.The breakfast at Golden Crown Hotel is simple, but adequate. The porridge is quite nice.I mean there are other better hotels at Macau City Centre and the Cotai strip, and this hotel is really good for short layovers or if you have a very early flight to catch. This hotel is better than expected, just across the departure hall gate, so close to the airport. the hotel is kind of old time grand hotel, with a big sitting guan yin statue on the first floor welcoming me with bright warm ambiance light, and the check in counter is located at the 9th floor, I love the huge oil painting on the wall, never see anything like that at other hotels I stayed, and the whole hall is brightly decorated with grand crystals lightings hung from the ceiling, I’d say it’s a five star hotel without a doubt, check in is smoothly taken care of. The room is brightly lighted, clean with an old time grace furnitures, four bottles of water, bathroom is clean and towels are fluffy, but I wish they can replace the toilet sitting part, that’s not a match for the whole room. Lastly, I think it’s the worst is I couldn’t find the outlet to charge my phone at the normal places where there should be one, I had to go under the desk and finally found one outlet on the bottom of the wall, they pay enough attention to everything else but forgot about these little outlet things, but I believe this issue could be resolved easily for a little price to equip each room with proper charging outlets for...

Dear All,||||Firstly, I used DO NOT DISTURB function. Despite that cleaning staff called me and was asking me if I would like to make up my room, I just reminded them that not necessary, this is why I have used DO NOT DISTURB, anyway she was trying to offer cleaning once again..||Secondly, the cleaning quality is really poor in this hotel, I add you some pictures what I have found at time I step into the room.||Thirdly, the food. There is a restaurant where you can find just Asian food. Knowing the fact, that half that could be some are Europeans we have difficulties to find western food. McDonalds is nearby in the terminal, but it’s temporary and not healthy solution.| The internet cuts every 5 minutes!!!There is no internete connection in lobby!||And finally, Today I used elevator from 17th floor. When reached ground floor I saw this view (photo below). The elevator I used was OUT OF SERVICE!
