The Grand Taipa National Park is located on the east side of the Taipa Grand Hill next to village. Here you find a grass-skiing field, BBQ zone, children's playground and panoramic views of area surrounding the hill.
There is an open exhibition area known as the sculpture park of Chinese Ethnics. This is a collection of 56 individual bronze sculptures representing the many different ethnic groups that live in mainland China. Presently this exhibition has been relocated to the Comendador Ho Yin Garden on the Macau Peninsula, not sure when it will return here.
The National Park is accessible by way of a road leading into the park from the east. There is a fair amount of car parking space. Public bus routes 21 and 26 (MOP6 per person) stop by the Rampa do Observatório at visit the NP. Otherwise, you can take a taxi if you want to be dropped off directly at the park. The views are terrific and you can see planes taking off and landing. If you take the steps from the bottom, it is a really good workout. Otherwise, there is a free tram which is fun to ride. At the peak, I saw several types of huge butterflies flying around.
