横琴长隆国际海洋度假区 — Hotel in Zhuhai

Pros:- It’s my 2nd time to Ocean World in 5 years time. Be frank, the place has improved much in lots of aspects since my last visit. The new HKZM bridge offers a very convenient way to travel to the resort. The food choice is very board with somewhat reasonable price comparing of that in the old days. The dragon show is a must-go comparing with the circus show in the old days.

Cons:- Similar to most places and resorts in china, the hardware are always there but there are massive ground of improvement in its software. If you are buying a package from travel agent or travel website, please make allowance to spend long time at check in and exchanging entrance tickets. There were long queues and a bit chaotic. Majority of the restaurants closes at 9pm whereby the firework in the theme park starts at 8pm and lasts for 30 min or so. Literally, you have to run out of the theme park for dinner. Maintenance of the place is fair to below average. In 5 year time, some elements have already been seriously worn down. The management team shall do a better job keeping the place in good shape.

Conclusion:- The resort is highly recommended for family trips. The phase 2 of the resort is under construction. Will definitely come back when it’s up...

Es un hotel pensado totalmente para niños. El restaurante principal tiene un acuario con pingüinos reales de varias especies, incluso un par de pingüinos Emperador. A intervalos en la mañana en la misma área del restaurante se da un espectáculo de pingüinos autómatas que baila y cantan. Las habitaciones son muy originales con diseños alusivos a los pingüinos auque los colores resultan un poco inquietantes tanto para niños como para los adultos. Entre las instalaciones de este hotel y el contiguo hotel Circus existe un parque de diversiones con un acuario por lo que la diversión no se agota todo el día. El staff del lugar es muy amable aunque en su mayoría no habla inglés, por lo que resulta complicado a veces resolver temas muy básicos como solicitar una plancha para la ropa, o argumentar el uso de un cupón para el desayuno. La calidad de los alimentos es buena y variada, pero mantiene el mismo menú toda la semana, por lo que hará que acudir entonces al Bufet del hotel Circus con un costo adicional si es que se hospeda mas de tres días. En términos generales, el hotel no ayuda a cambiar divisas, pero cuenta con un cajero automático para lidiar con la necesidad de efectivo.
