I’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels in China before. Some met my standards, while others didn’t even feel like a 3-star hotel. However, the Hilton Zhuhai deserves praise! It didn’t just meet my expectations—I genuinely enjoyed my stay here.I had some doubts when booking this hotel since it originally opened in 2013, but a renovation was done in 2019. So, I took a leap of faith, and it paid off. The hotel wasn’t expensive, though the price nearly doubled during the holiday season. The staff were very friendly, especially Esther at the front desk, who went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and even offered helpful suggestions 👍.Of course, no hotel is perfect, so here are some pros and cons:Pros:- Great service from the staff, particularly the front desk team.- The hotel feels well-maintained despite its age.- Quiet surroundings, which made for a peaceful stay.Cons:- The A/C is very slow to cool the room. It eventually gets there, but it takes its own sweet time.- The front desk area is very small. They squeezed in a coffee bar that took away the grand feel of the lobby and closed off multiple entrances, leaving only one. This layout makes entering the hotel feel awkward and takes away from the sense of luxury.- The view from our room wasn’t great—just a row of unoccupied mansions with overgrown grass and trees. Since this is a newer area of Zhuhai, many nearby apartments are also empty. It’s quiet, but not particularly scenic.- There are no restaurants within 500 meters. You’ll need to order takeout or take a taxi to a nearby mall for food.- Transportation options are limited. There’s no public transport nearby, and the space in front of the hotel is too small for taxis to pull in easily. The best option is to call a DiDi (ride-hailing app), and while the front desk can help with this, you might have to wait if they’re busy.Overall, I’d rate this hotel an 8/10. The two points I took off were for the lack of nearby restaurants and limited transportation options. Despite these issues, the service and comfort of the hotel made it a great stay. I’d happily return...
Read moreMy daughter and I had separate rooms on Level 25. We weren’t told whether it was an upgrade, but it felt like one. My room faced Macao and had the most fabulous views. Wonderful for the sunrise.||We enjoyed the Happy Hour in the Executive Lounge. Great snacks including spicy crayfish. Just need to make the Tsingtao colder.||Breakfast in Konnect is also fabulous. Great selection of western and Chinese foods. Omelettes can be made to order.||SkyBar 2989 offers great views has open air sections that allow the night atmosphere to be experienced. 58RMB for a 296ml Tsingtao is a little steep, the view compensates.||The rooms are very sleek and modern. I didn’t bother with the pillow menu, but it is offered. Two English channels on the TV, CNN and HBO. The bathroom is awesome with a very modern toilet and large shower space with bath.||The pool is wonderful with views to Macao. Please note, you need a swimming cap. You can buy one for 29RMB||The hotel is new and at first seems to be in an odd location, however it is relatively close to the new Convention Centre. It is also close to Wanzai Port, which looks like another way to get from Macao to Zhuhai. Also, only 600m away is Wanzai Seafood Street, which an awesome experience. Select fresh seafood and have it cooked in a restaurant.||Chloe and Skylar helped us get a Didi the next morning. Staff are...
Read moreThe hotel is very new, and it should have opened at about the same time as the Double Tree in Hengqin!||The location is good and the view is marvelous, The sea view room can clearly see the Macau Tower and Macau city.||There is a five-star Hilton facility and a five-star level of service at the hotel.||The peak crowd management during breakfast hours is similar to that of other international five-star brands. Also, we observed managers from other departments helping with breakfast when the restaurant was fully occupied... This is what makes it stand out from other hotels or so-called five-star hotels... Well done, Hilton Zhuhai!||I am very satisfied with this accommodation experience. I hope that the Hilton in Zhuhai can do a good job in all aspects of hotel maintenance (by the way, the Hilton in Futian, Shenzhen is really terrible to see, and the maintenance is so poor).||My hope is that Hilton Zhuhai will maintain the Hilton standard both in hardware and software in the future!||Special thanks to Ivan( the staff from front desk department, I guess) exceptional service and very attention...
