Jordan Hotel Boutique — Hotel in Antioquia

The people at this place made it our favorite part of visiting Colombia. The location is beautiful and the place is run like B&Bs used to be in the old days of visiting Europe. The family lives onsite and is always looking out for their guests. The breakfast is generous and lovely - especially when you get to dine outside and see all the birds, flowers and lovely water view. It’s 10 minutes from, “the rock” by taxi. We didn’t want to taxi into town for dinner and the hotel had menus from nearby places that deliver. We had a generous trout dinner one night and ordered pizza another night. Both were good and affordable. The hotel (which you can book directly through their site) offered to arrange our transport from Medellin airport (about 1.5 hours by car) and it was around $35US coming in from the airport and about $50US going back to our rental in Medellin. We had really comfortable rides both ways (NOT a given in Colombia) and it was a bargain, given that a bus for two would have been around $30 and we’d have needed a taxi from the center of town. Stayed here for a week with my husband. The entire staff were the best we had and they all made you felt like you were home. Special shout out to Ricardo and Juan for answering all our questions and making our stay pleasant. Breakfast is also included and it's one of the better breakfasts we've had. Make sure to eat the fresh sweet fruits! They are located about 10 mins taxi ride to the cute town of El Peñol but you can easily ask the staff to call a taxi for you. For dinner, they don't have room service but you can easily order delivery from some of the local restaurants they partner with, or simply walk down the hill for about 10 minutes to get to a restaurant. Did we mention the views?!? The view from the room we had were spectacular and romantic! - extra brownie points for the balcony. We wanted to unwind while in El Peñol and we got exactly that. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hope to make it back...
