Hotel Golden House — Hotel in Barranquilla

I have travelled the world and stayed in basic accomodation. This hotel was definitely the worst! Their advert is a complete lie - the bed was hard and uncomfortable, the sheets were old and bobbly (definitely NOT 'luxury sheets' as they described them), the room was the smallest 2-person room Ive ever seen, and all 4 sides of the bed almost touched the wall. We had to climb over the toilet to get into the shower (really!) and even then only squeezed into the shower because we are slim. Room was nothing like the photos they advertise, and I dont know how they could describe it as beautiful or comfortable. Window was out onto another wall about 50cm away so nothing to detract from the tiny room. Air con worked well but room was so small it was blowing right into your face all night. They insisted on charging us IVA when we arrived at night and would not allow us to pay the next morning when it could be discussed with the manager. I had a very negative experience.the bedroom and the bathroom are super small. I would go out to buy something and when I got back to my room. The air conditioning was off. I had to wait a couple hours before the room felt comfortable again. I stay for a week. I had to tell them to change the sheets on the bed. Otherwise they wouldn't have changed them.im very dissapointed. For a few dollars more I could have stayed in a much better hotel with a pool and in a better neighborhood.dont wasted your money with this hotel. A small room with a very small bed (1.40x2.00 m1) with linen that was top small for two (normal build) persons. All Ikea furniture. Our hotelroom had 1 window, but it looked out on somebody else's terrace. Hotel is situated in a boring area in the northern part of Barranquilla.
