My wife and I stayed here for three nights in a private room. The lodging is simple because the hostel is in construction (but there is no noise from the construction- it’s paused at the moment). The WiFi worked really well, the best one we’ve had in Colombia so far. It’s at a lower price than other places because the establishment isn’t finished. The whole place is kept very clean, including sheets, mattress and bathroom. The bedroom has a fan which should be good enough to keep you cool at night unless you’re really not used to any heat or humidity. Everything is very simple, so this is a good place for you if you a humble traveler looking for an authentic experience and to support a local business.
The location is just around the corner from a great French style bakery and walking distance from the touristy areas, the beach and the river. Three generations of women live here- unlike many of foreign owned hostels around, this is a Colombian and woman run family business! The family is so sweet. We love them.
The owner can give you lots of travel tips and help get you transportation, they’ll use google translate if you don’t speak Spanish. The owner gave me medicine and treats because I was sick.
In terms of your possessions, the rooms have keys and also the family will watch out for...

The breakfast was so delicious and prepared with so much love, with beautiful flowers, nice juices and a yammi coffee! You also can order lunch or dinner there and they'll ask you what you want. Read moreReally great hostel! Perfect location just tucked away off the main road, so it's very peaceful and calm but easy to get to shops and restaurants. The family running the hostel are the best. They are so welcoming and friendly, I ended up staying for 3 weeks because I felt so at home here. The vibe is very relaxed and a nice retreat from Palomino's busy centre. Bed was comfortable and the common spaces and rooms were very clean for a good price. They provide drinking water too which is not always the case with Palomino hostels. I will 100% stay here the next time I am...
