Hotel Duitama Nivari — Hotel in Duitama

The Hotel is clean and tidy. The issue is the front desk. Yesterday my wife called for some ice for the room and was told it would be sent. Half an hour later she called again asking where the ice was, only to be told the hotel had no ice. When we we were leaving for a meal later that evening the staff then told us, that the hotel did have ice but it was not for guests. We then asked for reception to call us a taxi. the first receptionist said yes she would call, only for a second receptionist to overrule he and say no. My wife & I then waled into the street to hail a taxi in the rain. This is to what I expect from a Best Western Brand.||I am English & my wife is Colombian. I have never been treated like this before even in a lower star rating hotel. Incidentally my profession is building hotels & resorts. The front desk staff need to be trained correctly as they are the face of the brand. I would certainly not...

First thing we experienced was the restaurant. Lunch was cold but overcooked at the same time. The meats were dry and extremely overcooked. Service was terribly slow. The included breakfast is a joke, overcooked eggs that looked like a day old. There wasn’t enough food for all my family members. ||||There is no ice, we wanted to share a drink with my family in our room we went down to the bar and were told they had no ice. I had to go to the mall and buy my own. ||||Rooms are really noisy, I was unable to get a restful night sleep. Then I get woken up at 6:30 AM by a phone call from reception to let me know a sewer line broke and it was spilling toilet water directly on top of my car. Great way to start my day. Then they give me 12 dollars in cash to get the car washed on my own. ||||Overall this place was not even close to being worth $1000 dollars. I regret ever booking and staying...

This was a really nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and addressed us by name. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The location is central. The only complaint would have been that there isn’t an option for English subtitles with the TV. Also, the hotel states they are a Best Western and offer additional points for members but when contacting Best Western, they state they hotel is no longer associated with them and the hotel is not on the Best Western website.
