AVOID. This hotel conned me. I turned up with a prepaid booking. The receptionist and manager named 'Rocio' insisted that I pay $40,000 (£10 / 20% of the prepaid booking). The reason given was that everyone must pay this tax. This was a clear lie, it is only applicable to Colombians. I am a foreigner, do not hold the local nationality, I even paid with a foreign card and provided my foreign passport. In the end, I was forced to pay this because my child was sleeping on the reception sofa and needed to be in bed. The staff were totally unprofessional and void of any reason. They are money grabbing conmen. DO NOT STAY HERE.||||On top of this terrible interaction, the hotel is a complete farce. Dirty. Pool did not open on time. Rude staff. Dirty broken rooms. Noisy drunk guests. Unsafe. Bad food and again terrible service. The pool had tiles missing with other sharp tiles present. Dirty standing water for mosquitos. Goaping staff at women guests. The hotel is surrounded by a significant homeless population. Dangerous to get to the place on foot. Again, totally unprofessional staff willing to con guests for insignificant amounts of money while children guests are sleeping around their reception. Appaling place. DO...

Right from the moment we checked in our experience was unpleasant. We were show to a room across the road from the main hotel, the room was in a gated carpark that resembled a prison exercise yard. After some discussion we were shown a room in the main hotel complex this room was a slight improvement small and cramped but clean. With a barely functioning AC. We had driven 4.5hrs from Bogota and wanted to have a nap for an hour or so before heading out for lunch but we were unable to do so due to the no stop loud music played constantly with a speaker right out side our Balcony.

After we can back from lunch we decided to sit by the pool and enjoy a beer ($30 corkage.) We were the only guest by the pool and requested the music be turned off or at least down and were told "Sorry that's the vibe of the place" so unless the vibe of your holiday is Guantanamo bay prison...
