Hotel Chicalá — Hotel in Neiva

This hotel is good. It has a sort of homy feel to it, which makes you feel comfortable and well attended. The staff is just so nice all the time. I stayed here a few nights for work trip and then to just rest. The beds are comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom are very clean. Very spacious bedroom too. The hotel has wifi service and it works very well. It’s an old hotel that needs a little work at some things that could be improved but still a good place and choice to stay at. They have room service, so its great if you’re tired or just want to lounge in, you get to have breakfast in bed; this was the best part by far. When i was there the pool didn’t look very clean because of leaves and things like that so I never went in. The food at the restaurant is very very good! So its an excellent choice if you have no idea where to go eat. The one problem I encountered which was a bit of a bust is the fact that my room window was next to a very noisy plaza so on weekends you could hear everything like you where outside. If you have a choice, ask for a room opposite to the plaza so you really get to rest...

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Chicala. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was prompt. The room was spacious and clean and the air conditioner worked very well. My young son and I had a lot of fun in the swimming pool, which is surrounded by a picturesque garden wall. The hotel is located within a short walk to the Monumento Cuarto Centenario, and my family had a great time taking in the local scene at this plaza. The food was excellent. In the morning the breakfast buffet offered a variety of fresh juices and Huila's signature coffee - Nuestro Cafe, Cafe Clasico. El hotel esta bien las habitaciones y la piscina estan bien, pero la atencion del restaurante es pesima, el dia de hoy espere por 20 minutos la cena en el restaurant , al ver la demora solicite que llevaran la cena al cuarto, llame mas de 6 veces a recepción y la cena nunca llego, terrible que le hagan perder la paciencia al huesped, no tienen el mas minimo respeto y consideración, si no pueden atender el pedido pues al menos diganlo por mas de 3 horas llamando y esperando la dichosa cena y nunca llego, y pues por la hora ya no se consiguen domicilios. Muy mala experiencia muchas veces la fama de los lugares es solo eso fama .... pesima atencion y la verdad no lo recomendaria NUNCA. un sitio como estos esta para brindar atención al huesped si no hay comida pues normal lo dicen y uno busca otro lugar, pero que le tomen del pelo por mas de 3 horas, te tienes que acostar con el estomago vacio y con una rabia tenaz de ver como les importa 5 el huésped.
