Native Lodge Brisas del Sur — Hotel in Providence Island

😊: I spent 9 nights at the Native Lodge Brisas del Sur and hed an unforgetable experience. The host family, Mariela, Tano, Helen and Chadelaine were incredibly kind and made me feel welcomed from the minute I arrived.

The service was unbelievably good - Mariela organised everything for me, whether it was the daily, delicious breakfast, a motorbike, airport transfer, restaurant information and so on (all at the effective costs, without any surcharges!) - I just had to tell her what I need. She really made sure that her guests have everything they need to experience unforgetable holidays in Providencia.

The Lodge itself is located near the most beautiful beach of the island and many restaurants are nearby. It is generally very calm and not noisy at all apart from occasional barking dogs or roosters (which can be found all over the island).

The room is very comfortable and is equipped with everything you need - a king size bed, fridge, a really large bathroom including a big wardrobe, and an air conditioning which worked perfectly. There is a TV as well, but I never used it. Mariella cleaned the room everyday and changed the towels and bed sheets every three days.

Furthermore, thanks to the host family, I got to know the local culture, food, music, traditions and people more which completed my holiday experience.

Providencia en si, es otro mundo comparado con San Andres. Allá se va para descansar, a desconectare y disfrutar de la naturaleza y el encanto de una isla que afortunadamente sigue siendo especial. ||||Y justamente es eso lo que la Señora Mariela y su familian hacen: ella te abre las puertas de su casa, te recibe y te acoge para que sientas el encanto de la isla, de sus tradiciones y especialmente de su gente. ||||Los desayunos son de otro nivel: ella te pregunta y se preocupa por tus restricciones alimentarias y preferencias, y siempre intenta sorprenderte con sus deliciosas y típicas preparaciones. La habitacion donde nos quedamos es linda y espaciosa, con baño privado, limpieza diaria, toallas de baño y de playa, televisor, sombrilla (que ayuda para el sol inclemente) y frigobar. Incluso la amable Keysi, quien le ayuda a la Sra Mariela, nos realizó un el servicio de lavandería por un precio razonable. La casa está muy bien localizada, a solo 10 minutos andando de la mejor playa de Providencia y con supermercados alrededor. La Señora Mariela tiene los contactos para todas las actividades que hay en la isla y para todo lo que necesites: el día que llegamos fuimos al Spa Cotton Tree (100% recomendado), dos días seguidos hicimos snorkling por las barreras de coral que te permite ver la fauna marina y otro día escalamos el pico mas alto con unas vistas preciosas. ||||La cereza del pastel: la señora Mariela nos invitó a compartir la grabacion de un video musical de una de sus hijas y Don Luciano. Además del maravilloso concierto privado, tuvimos la experiencia única de probar el plato tipico de la Isla cocinado en y para la familia: Rondon.||||Es justamente es este tipo de Posadas Nativas como Native Lodge Brisas del Sur donde no solo vas a alojarte sino que apoyas economía local y al turismo cultural, lo que hace que sientas que te llevas algo mas que fotos. Te llevas la experiencia y el paquete completo! ||||Señora Mariela: muchísimas gracias! Esperamos poder volver a disfrutas de Providencia y de su casa! ||||Importante: esta es una Posada FAMILIAR, con 2 habitaciones y estas en su casa. Por eso si busca un hotel con decoración especial, playa privada, alimentación completa y en resumen, otro tipo de alojamiento, este no es l lugar.
