This great little posada with strong eco-credentials (recycling stations, energy saving outlook...) is situated in a quieter neighborhood that's about a 15 minute walk from the busy, noisy downtown area of San Andres. We stayed in two different rooms, the first of which was very nice with plenty of natural light, while the second was a little darker, aged, and lacking in natural light but still not bad.||The guy who runs this place is super friendly and helpful and full of great advice. He rented us his moto one day which is a great way to see the island.||There's a shared kitchen which is pretty well-equipped, and drinking water is also available. I liked the recycling facilities, which included recycling for batteries and bottle tops - rarely available in other places we've stayed. ||An outdoor terrace with a couple of rocking chairs and a dining table is a great place to eat and relax after a day's snorkeling, or to meet and get to know other guests.||Price-wise, like most places on the island this place was definitely at the upper end of our budget, but I think it was reasonably good value for money.||Overall I would recommend this posada very highly, especially if a kitchen area is high on your list of...

Read moreWe arrived to this posada without a booking and we were lucky enough to find a room for the next few days. We were looking for something quiet and with a kitchen and Posada Colours of the Sea fit the bill. ||This posada is about 20mins walk to the center of town and just a street away from the seaside. We didn't enjoy the busyness of town so this distance was ideal for us. ||The place is clean and tidy, the rooms have fans and aircon (this last one available during night hours only), comfortable beds and private bathrooms. I would strongly recommend to get one of the two rooms inside the house which have exterior windows as we had to change rooms half way through our stay to the interior one and wasn't that good - it was a bit too dark and slightly muggy. ||The kitchen is pretty comfortable, has all the crockery needed and a lot of recycling options. There is also a nice outside area where you can chill in the rocking chairs. ||Gonzalo, the owner, was extraordinarily helpful and went out of his way with all his guests to make the nicest stay for them by giving info, historic facts, booking cars and motorbikes -...
