My family and I stayed here for three days, and had a wonderful time. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel is small with 7 or 8 rooms, and our room was simple with one double bed and two twin beds. Very clean inside and out. The passageways are tastefully decorated with old tools and wooden artefacts. The hotel is also just a bit out of the town, about a 5 minute US $4-$5 taxi ride to downtown Santa Elena. What absolutely set this place apart for us was the genuine hospitality and service. The family that owns and runs this beautiful little hotel treated us like family, going above and beyond so many times! Gersson at the front desk helped compare costs and scheduled multiple activities at very short notice (all with a genuine smile and willingness to help), arranged taxis and transport and followed up to ensure everything is going well. His sister and mom prepared delicious breakfast every day. And his dad, who I was only able to talk to a couple times during our stay, passionately shared so much information about the hotel he built and the surrounding flaura and fauna. We were the only ones there for the majority of our visit so we had the common area to ourselves. They made changes to our breakfast schedule based off of what our kids were eating.
