Great view of the sunset and ocean. Close enough to walk to beach. Amazing hosts. Best breakfast ever - tons of fruit, coffee, tea, and made to order eggs any way you want. The house can accommodate a bunch of people and it makes for great conversation during breakfast. There are all sorts of individuals that stay here so you get a chance to meet people from all parts of the world. They have a pool that the kids love to swim in while we relax on the terrace. So if you're all pooped out from going to the beach - the kids can still have a great time while you relax at the house. You get to see all sorts of wild life here. Birds, howler monkeys, lizards, coatis (they look like a raccoon from the states). Jo and Agnes (the hosts) speak a ton of different languages and cater to all your needs. They know all the locals and make sure you have a great experience when you're in Nosara. The rooms are beautiful. Every room has AC. We were here in October and didn't need it. We just slept with the windows open at night and enjoyed the weather. They also have a security guard on site to watch you cars and patrol the premise to make sure all your stuff is safe while your away enjoying the beach or sleeping. We really love this place and would encourage anyone to stay here.

Dawn to dusk, something magical is going on here. I woke to a rainbow and kicked back on the patio during the evening lightning show. This place is the ideal nature location out of the riff-raff, but close enough to dip in and out of Guiones fun! The view is incredible, and the wildlife adds to the Costa Rica vibe. Howler monkeys overhead in the mango tree. Iguanas, incredible birds, butterflies everywhere and dense jungle canopy for plenty of shade when needed. It's super close to the less populated Pelada beaches but also close to Guiones and local pickleball (which I'm obsessed with). The breakfast was delicious - yogurt and granola, eggs, fresh papaya, mangos and more! Insanely good coffee and plenty of it. :-D First class experience at super-reasonable rates. Between surf sessions, I'd dip in the pool and listen to the wildlife while enjoying the view. Everything is well kept up, and the staff is very helpful and social.

Charming, very reasonably inn with just a handful of rooms (8?). We loved the pool set up, full of sun! The tree above our lounge chair was full of monkeys! Room was fine. Loved the large and open bathroom. Great breakfast included with fruit, selection of bread, oats and eggs cooked to order, rice and beans. A bit difficult to access high on the hill. Most restaurants and stores are quite a walk away.

We unfortunately had a very bad experience with this hotel owner. At first he was super friendly. He showed us to our room where we noticed that there was no AC. Since we are riding our bicycles from Liberia to montezuma in the hot and dry season, we were specifically looking for a room with AC, and GOOGLE STATED THAT ALL ROOMS HAVE AC AT VILLA MANGO. I approached him a bit later to ask if there was any possibility of getting a refund because we had decided to find another place with AC. His demeanor shifted and he started lecturing us on how we need to read the details in the email more closely. It’s like a switch flipped. He said “now you are really pissing me off”and got in our face, commanding us to take our name off the reservation immediately so that he could make it available to someone else, and then told us to leave his property. Granted things had heated up a bit between us at that point but only after he started getting aggressive with us. I never even demanded a refund. I simply asked if it would be possible. I consider his behavior to be extremely unprofessional, especially for someone in the...

This place was the worst I've ever been to with my wife. The owner is arrogant, disgusting, and disrespectful. We asked for air conditioning and paid an extra $10 for it, but since the place is so old and in terrible condition, the air conditioning didn't cool the room; it was too old. We woke up to the terrible heat in the morning because the air conditioning was off. When we left, I told the owner, and he told me he had turned off the air conditioning during the night because it was leaking. I told him it wasn't fair to have to pay for that if he had turned it off without telling us. He became extremely violent, telling me to leave the place in front of everyone else who was having breakfast. He even wanted to fight me. It was a horrible situation. I recommend paying a little more for a quiet place without that disgusting man. He also had a very strange attitude toward my wife when we arrived; he's a pervert. Honestly, this is the worst option in Nosara. Please be careful; the place is not safe. The dirt road and access are...
