Mango Boulevard Hotel — Hotel in Pavas

This is a great place to stay if it’s the night you fly in or the night before flying out since it’s just minutes to the airport. That being said you hear the planes on take off as this place is so close to the end of the runway. However you do not hear planes all night and the rooms while not sound proof are quiet enough to sleep all night till the train wakes you up which is a couple hundred yards away. The beds were comfy the bathrooms were clean. There is a nice pool to lounge by and looks like they are adding more rooms. The restaurant on site is nice and you get 1 free cocktail I had a calzone and it was very good. We had a early flight and they paid for a taxi to bring us to the airport. We booked it due to it's location and its very fair price. We were not disappointed. We stayed two separate nights in different rooms. The rooms were spacious, and with private bathrooms. You get what you pay for, so don't expect a 5* hotel, but it is clean, hot water in the bathroom, comfy bed, which is all we wanted. On top of it we got to lounge in a great garden, common area, use a very large kitchen area and Ever was very nice and helpful. Transfers to and from the airport were done without a hitch. This place is awesome. We're travelling on motorbikes and needed somewhere not crazy expensive to stay the night in San Jose - not an easy ask in Costa Rica! They've just opened so not many reviews yet so I'm happy to add mine. This is perfect for the budget traveller who doesn't compromise on having a fresh, clean and safe place to stay. The rooms, the kitchen, the bathroom are decorated nicely, fully equipped and very clean. Hot water, fast wifi, great location close to restaurants. Ever, the proprietor, is an awesome guy too. He gave us lots of great information to help us plan our ride to the coast....
