We found this place on Google and decided to give it a try. We drove from Guadalupe to Rohmoser on a Saturday afternoon and it was definitely worth the trip.
The menu is very substantial with great variety and lots of options for all diets. The price was pretty affordable too, everything on the menu was between c5000 to c12000.
The drinks menu was massive too, with so many options to choose from: hot drinks, cold drinks, smoothies, frappes, specialty teas and cocktails. The vampire Mimosa was delicious.
The food was also pretty good. Their fish and chips was so yummy, the fish was light and well seasoned with the perfect kind of breading, almost like a tempura style. Don't forget the sauce, the spicy one and the aioli was a favorite. The fries were incredible, perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection. And the french toast from their brunch menu was amazing. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!! A must try with all the delicious fresh fruits and berries. The Tico pinto was also a hit with my husband and daughter. Hubby said the pinto was very well seasoned.
This spot is a must try. It's fairly easy to get to right on the Rohmoser main street. The inside is cute and vibey and they have books and games while you wait. Ww had a blast playing Uno and Chess. We sat in one of the super comfy couch chairs and it was so nice. The staff is also so friendly, they make you feel at home. We definitely have to come back to try all the other...
Read moreThe best breakfast in Costa Rica. What an experience!! Great customer service! The waiter was very attentive and smiling, and made sure that we were happy the entire time. Nice to see in Costa Rica. Coffee was an experience here! You can choose from many different styles of preparing your coffee. We chose the Japanese style and it was awesome. It’s a presentation that takes a few minutes, but was well worth it to see something different. We had breakfast there, and everything was perfect except for the French toast was a bit cold. I highly recommend getting the French toast as it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. we got the Tico breakfast at the top of the menu and it was the best dish! Gio Pinto is the best I’ve ever had, especially with the crème. I would highly recommend getting a smoothie here, the Verde smoothie was really good! If I can make one suggestion. I would suggest to not bring out the coffee presentation at the same time as the food. It made things awkward because we were hungry. We wanted to eat, but we also didn’t want to be rude as the lady was presenting the coffee. Anyways, I highly recommend this place for breakfast! Do...
Read moreA perfect experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked into Café a la Moda, I was greeted with such warmth and kindness—it immediately set the tone for what turned out to be one of the most memorable café visits I’ve ever had.
Everything was incredibly fresh—from the warm, just-baked bread to the fruit that tasted like it had been picked straight off the tree that morning. And the coffee… wow. Watching it brewed right in front of me using a traditional vandola was such a special touch, and the flavor was smooth, rich, and deeply satisfying.
A special shoutout to Sofía, who made the entire experience even more wonderful. She was not only absolutely lovely, but also incredibly knowledgeable about coffee and so genuinely passionate. Her attention to detail and welcoming presence truly made it feel like home.
If you’re in Costa Rica and want an experience that’s just as beautiful as it is delicious, Café a la...
