The location is convenient to the airport and the rooms are clean. Our experience with the staff is another story. We arrived early and I went to see if we could check in, front desk attendant seemed annoyed that I was there. He told me check in is at 2:00pm. I said no worries, and asked if we could leave our luggage. He said, “I guess you could leave in there.” The little room next to the reception desk. We leave to have lunch and return at 2:00pm. We check in and room is clean and ready to go. We leave our bags and take off to explore the town a bit more. We return later that night and we turn the A/C on since it is hot and humid and it is making a loud screeching noise. I go to the reception desk and it is a new attendant. I ask if we could change rooms since the A/C is making a screeching noise. She immediately tells me no that they are booked for the night. I asked her if she hears the screeching noise and she says yes and I said that’s our A/C unit. She then says oh that’s what’s making the noise, that’s very loud. She says turn the unit off and to sleep with the fan. It is 75 degrees and 90% humidity the minute the A/C turns off the humidity creeps in. I tell her that is a ridiculous request. She said well that’s the options we have available, since they have no rooms and at this time of night no one will come out to fix it. I go back to my room and tell my family to pack their bags we will be moving to another hotel. The attendant comes to the room and I ask her to refund us and we will be going elsewhere, she states they have a room available down the hall. I tell her I would like to see it before we move, she takes me and the A/C unit is working fine and it is clean. We are about 10 rooms away from our original rooms and you can hear the screeching all the way down the hall. As we are changing rooms she tells me to turn the A/C unit off as the noise can disrupt other guest 😐. We move all our stuff to the other room and we get settled in. I get my toiletries and head to the shower. I turn the shower faucet on and no water is coming out. I go to the front desk and there is another attendant there and I tell him the issue with the shower. He calls the female attendant and she yells from across the room you take care of the issue. He checks everything and nothing seems to be working. The female attendant comes to the room and is like well we can wait until the morning to fix it. I again tell her to refund us and we will go elsewhere. She states that sometimes it is out of their control and I understand that, but this is two separate issues and we will take our business elsewhere. The male attendant was able to get the water running. We stayed the night, it was...

Looks sweet, but it's a trap...
Do NOT park here! Do NOT stay here.
I live 4 hours from the airport and was so happy to find this place. I thought I had found a new go-to spot when flying out and back. Good daily rates for parking close to the airport and a cute ambiance.. awesome right?! I was wrong.
My car suffered damage in their garage, it was a miracle I could open my trunk to put my luggage in when I landed back in CR...
I was also charged for a night after canceling a reservation. The staff keeps talking about their "policy" which they never spoke to me when I reserved in person. They also never emailed me a confirmation which would have had the cancelation policy.
They claim they couldnt send me confirmation and policy because I didn't leave them my email for the reservation, but I have photo evidence of the receipt, they had all of my info on file for my car.
When I called to cancel, I was told, "todo bien, no hay problema." But a couple days later, while still in the nightmare that is "hotel mango," I was told that the staff member claims he spoke with me in that moment about the cancelation policy.
I am honestly SHOCKED to be witnessing one shady thing after another in such a short amount of time with this hotel.
Dont be lured in by their appearance or low parking rates... It's not worth it!
P.S. I never leave reviews... and I hate having to leave such a negative one, but I do it with the hope that it can spare others of such an...
Read moreVery horrible experience to say the least. I was spoken to very rudely upon checking out, denied airport shuttle service, was told this is not my country and I should not visit. Upon checking out I was told to pay an extra $15 pet fee. I explained the woman who handles the check in the night before helped me carry my cat in his carrier to the room and did not mention any additional fees. After I was showed that the policy requires a pet fee, I agreed to pay it without an issue. I only requested a receipt. The hotel manager refused to give me a receipt and said I would only receive it if I payed $10 for a print out I requested earlier. I declined to printout service so I literally had to record myself putting the $15 on the counter. She stated because she printed out 5 pages, I must accept it or else police would be called. I calmly stated mam, I decline the pages as I’m already paying for a pet fee I was unaware of. She declined to provide the airport transportation service and initially wouldn’t even unlock the gate to allow me capability of exiting the property after she was paid the pet fee. She only continued to scream “this is not your country, it’s my country, don’t come here!” At this point I became fearful and dialed 911 but only heard a recording in Spanish that I did not understand. When she finally unlocked the gate, allowing me to exit the property, I had to pay a random man for transportation for the airport. This was the most frightening,...
