“very central, family run, local oasis”||Did love our stay here! Cute family owned small hotel with local feel and flavour, right in the heart of the action, steps to everything, right across from the beach, so easy to go back and forth to beach and hotel, very cute and relaxing pool in pleasant surroundings, easy to spend a few lazy hours by the poolside, our ground floor room with small outdoor area made going in and out to pool area so convenient, had wifi in part of the room and all public areas, friendly and helpful service, has microwave, full fridge with freezer box,TV, coffee maker, no-flaw quiet air conditioning and ceiling fan, recommended if you don't have a car, but available parking if you do, photos of hotel represent it well, felt very secure-location wise, personal safe in room, had night guard, great price, would stay again||||Enjoyed it here very much but If considering this place, need to know drawbacks: can be noisy at night from regular street noise, expect no frills room, bring own soap and shampoo, cups, coffee, only a bedsheet, no blankets, rough bathtowels, basic bathroom and amenities in room, only some open shelves for...
Read moreI wish I would've read the reviews before staying here because it looks like I'm not the only one. I left my cash in the safe in the room and when I came back to the room the safe wouldn't open. I remembered my code so I knew it wasn't that. I asked the front desk to help me and they opened it with a key. $100 cash was missing from the safe. At least they didn't take my passport too. I confronted the little man at the front desk about the missing cash but of course he said no one had been in the room. ||What I found out later from a friend who works in a local hotel was that those safes reset the password when opened with a key. This explains why my code didn't work when I returned to my room. Someone had opened it with a key while I was out and that reset the password. ||I don't usually take the time to write reviews but this is worth it if it saves one other person from staying there and getting robbed...
Read moreLet me begin by saying our stay at the Zully Mar was one to remember! We didn’t realize that we found the most prime Airbnb until we showed up. The Zully Mar is located just a few hundred feet from the big Tamarindo sign, surrounded by tons of bars and restaurants, and a 2 minute walk to the beach. Our host Conrad was the nicest guy! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. They offer free parking and free surf boards to use during your stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable, they had A/C as well as fans so we stayed nice and cool at all times. We hope to come back to the Zully Mar very soon, and we will be sure to tell all of our friends of this hidden gem. Thanks...
