Far surpasses hotel service and ambiance...||Embassy Row B & B is a beautiful and welcoming home. I would have to say this is my favorite B & B I have stayed in during my travels. ||The location of the home is situated just a 10-15 minute walk to downtown in a wooded quiet neighborhood, perfect for a private or relaxing stay. You wake up with a view to greenery all around you and in some rooms, a balcony to enjoy the homes’ garden and lemon trees. If you are a runner there is a short trail and park behind the home and hilly streets if you are more intense than myself...||The interiors are gorgeous, simple, authentic and intriguing. You will want to explore all of the unique items thoughtfully placed throughout the home. Just as genuine as the historic home, is the owner of the B & B, Nadia.||Nadia is extremely responsive and informative when it comes to navigating to the home, check in, etc. Parking is available on site which is a huge money and time saver in the city.||The entire house was immaculate, our room and restroom were no exception. We were provided everything we needed for our stay (hair dryer, bottles of water, fresh towels, toiletries, etc.).||Nadia is a natural host. Not only is she knowledgeable about the sites and culinary culture in the city but she is happy to offer up and engage in enlightening and stimulating conversation. This bungakow is located at a quiet area close to Kazakhstan embassy. It’s a nice 15-min stroll to the shopping district of Ilica. You may take a Uber for €4. There are 2 spacious heated bedrooms with 2 spacious heated separate bathrooms just outside the rooms located on the 2nd floor. Each bathroom is designated for each room so it’s next to the designated room. There is no sharing of bathroom. The host has a 3rd bedroom in case the guests are a family and require a second room meaning there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which can be rented as “2 bedrooms + 1 bathroom” and “1 bedroom + 1 bathroom”. There are heater and Aircon (works as cooling and heating) in the room which in an extreme cold weather, both heater and Aircon (for heating) could be turned on simultaneously. The owner stays on the 3rd floor and her beautiful living and dining room is at the basement overlooking a backyard garden. This area is like a mini botanical garden which gives it a WOW factor with a traditional fireplace in the living room and many plants surrounding the dining room and living room. It’s extraordinarily beautiful! It makes one feel so comfortable and unwilling to leave. For toiletries, only liquid shower & hand wash are provided. Hair dryer is provided. Breakfast is delicious and extensive. There are ample free car parks in front of the gate. WiFi is available. Host is exceptionally friendly, helpful, very responsive and generous. A gem. The house, the rooms, the breakfast, the hosts. As one of the places from the Cote Sud magazine. As shabby chic meets wabi sabi. Not like any other B&B in Croatia. The hosts are recognised artists and you see that at every spot. Nothing is perfect and that’s why everything is perfect. Stay at least for 3 days unless you want to feel sorry when leaving. Plan for at least 2 hours for breakfast. Organic, mostly plant-based ingredients, magically prepared by Nadia, and served in a stunning orangery. Do not miss the leek omelette and leave some space for home made muffins. Rooms are large with high ceiling and very comfortable beds. Bathrooms are warm, looking fantastic without tiles. The house is walking distance from the major square in Zagreb, in a very old and quiet street. Embassy Row B&B is the perfect place for those of us who appreciate subtle appearance, natural materials and clever design. Stay at the place and you will feel the warmth and appreciation that you rarely meet...
