Hotel Europa Zagreb — Hotel in City of Zagreb

I’m glad that we stayed only one night in this “hotel”.||The staff was unfriendly, at the reception upon our arrival they took my ID card as this is standard here, I didn’t let them and I still don’t understand why they take it away? If you go to town latter how do you identify yourself if it is needed?||My room was very dirty, in the toilet there was the previous users urine there, the bed was making heavy noise, the shower was full off blight....||After asking a new room at the reception I had to realize that the other room is also the same except the bed noise was not there.||I couldn’t sleep almost all night as there was 2 different noises coming from different sides, couldn’t find the source of it.|On my way to breakfast I find out that there was a laundry very close to me, and probably part of the noise come from this room.||Breakfast was horrible, don’t need to analyze it.||This was my first and last visit to this hotel, I don’t recommend...

The doorknob came off instantly as we opened the door. The room was smelling of cigarettes and it was covered by a lot of perfume and the carpet was unclean. The towels were dirty and the water was cold. And when we were trying get out or in the door was getting stuck and just to open we had to stay for 10-15min. There were also some “friends” in the room and outside which were spiders, and the bedsheets were weird to say the least. Also the staff was a bit rude. But at at least they spent money on automatic curtains and an anti smoke sticker but unfortunately didn’t have enough money for smoke detectors. Breakfast was poor. Overall a pretty bad experience,...

Check in proces was fast, elevator could not be used due construction work. Was taken by bags and material all the time need to carry my laguage trough out dust and unsafe stairs. Room was cold not hiter was turn on, water for shower was not hot enough get frozen wile takong shower, bad sheet was to short need to wear soks during the night. Brakfast, egs were cold, bread was couple of days old with no toster to warm up. Owerall bad experiance, i do not recommend...
