When we arrived at the hotel we felt like it was a good place.... And we were right. It have that kind of welcome wormnes and you feel like you are at your home eaven that you are first time here.
Very friendly and nice staff certainly are the parts of that conclusion.
Very nice restaurant Golden Rose that is a part of Hotel Bor, currently is rating 4.7 and certainly could go much higher with a few upgrades in menu or presentation of menus because meals are printed like grilled chicken, and you get served grilled chicken with celery cream and a few other pastas that was not written along with other meals in menu.
In fact that was a nice surprise.
Very good selection of fish, meat, wine, beer, cold and hot drinks...
Everything you desire you can get here served.
Rooms are very cozy and from my opinion they have all that you need so in fact, when I was rating hotels, this one could have four stars instead of three with a few upgrades like for welcome in room, water heater /was in room/ only a few coffee or tea bags and a few sugar bags that was missing, that would be impression with a low cost.
There could be many more words written so not to delay.... There are few days for us to be here and we are looking forward to have a good time here like so far...
So, if you are looking for a great place to stay when visiting Krk, you are at the right place.
Just a few steps from the center of the town Krk with a peace and quiet to perfectly enjoy your vacation and a sea to the reach of your hands....
You are at the...
Read moreCozy little hotel with helpful and kind staff. Rooms are small, especially the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this for a large person because it's hard to fit in the toilet/shower room. The rooms are really clean, and the cleaners are coming during your breakfast.
The hotel is located 10-15 minutes walk away from the Krk town center/old town. This is one of the furthermost hotels of the Krk town creating a peaceful atmosphere. If you are planning to stay in the heart of the city, this is not your hotel nor the right city since this is a small village with beautiful sea view and old fortress surrounding the old town, but not your typical party destination.
The breakfast is very good. They are offering big varioty of different types of breads, jams, cereals, eggs and other warm food, fruits, warm and cold drinks, and local breakfast pastries. The selection is changing a bit every day so it won't get boring even if you are staying longer.
The only pool is really small and cold (at least during early summer) because it's in the shadows most of the day, but they have a great ocean view from the sun deck where they have few sun chairs.
The hotel itself is really quite and peaceful, but the next by hotel is having live music every evening and you can clearly hear all the songs through the walls. If you are planning to go to bed early (before 11 pm) or you are trying to make your kids fall asleep, this might be a problem.
All in all the hotel is good, basic 3 star hotel: nothing fancy but everything works. Good...
Read moreWe spent 3 nights in this hotel, beginning of June. In my eyes, the best hotel in Krk-city. Why? Situated just in front of the sea (possibility to swim), just some 10 min walking to the center of Krk-city, so, calm and relax geographical situation, no touristic trouble, free parking some 100 m up the hotel, beautiful and quiet (partially covered) terrasse, excellent restaurant (Golden Rose) with honest prices and better food (except resto Francopan) than in the center of the town and sympathetic staff, allways open ears and eyes. Further more, when you leave and walk on the left side of the hotel, you can have a fantastic walk to the peninsula (takes you at least 3 hours - you have also to cross the area of the big/hughe camping ) with amazing views on the sea and finally view on the Puntarska draga and the village of Punat (take 2 bottles of water with you). Rooms are fine, breakfast so far o.k. The atmosphere is less stressy than in other hotels because the hotel has much less rooms(!!) than the other big hotels in the surroundings. So you can live your life there very relaxed. Nicolina at the reception desk can give you a lot of information. Istria is fantastic. Greets from...
