Hotel Central — Hotel in Grad Osijek

We stayed at this hotel with a school group. The hotel is amazing: First it is really well located near everything. It's a charming hotel, beautiful and well decorated, the kind of hotel where you feel like at home. The rooms are clean and have everything you need, a nice bathroom, great mattress and a fridge which I found very useful. The breakfast was gorgeaous. It had everything we needed, and I can tell you how picky our students were, but they loved eating in the morning. There I discovered the special Grenade marmelade and bought some from the supermarket opposite the hotel.||Best of all, I must say, was the staff: Really helpful for everything. Always available, anytime, asking you how they can help. Sandra was very welcoming and available for anything we needed. It was awesome, really. Hotel Central in Osijek is the nicest hotel I have stayed at since arriving in Croatia. Period. The good energy is so thick you could cut it with a knife. The building itself is amazing. If I am not mistaken it is the oldest hotel in the city, and in my humble opinion it is the best.

The staff was professional and not nosey at all. The room was clean and well supplied with everything we needed. When we asked for coffee the staff was eager to set us up even though it was after hours. The view of the square made our night.

We rate this place high above other rooms in the area. One of the best deals you can find in Osijek for sure. We couldn't have asked for more. Extremely pleased with our stay here and plan to...

Ι am very happy to extend praise to Ms. Sandra, she is singlehandedly the most kind and empathetic lady I've ever met. Always with a smile, willing to help, proactive and effective. Now, as per the hotel. Yes, it is old, but it is also spotless, a good value for money, in a historic building and in a very convenient part of the city. Please fellow travellers don't expect everything from everywhere, have some common sense :). I really enjoyed my stay and hope to visit again one day. P.S. As per the renovations, really the only thing that was annoying at times was noise from the outside.... So...
