Rooms Modrušan — Hotel in Grad Slunj

Stumbled upon this place when we decided to escape another horrible room & proprietor in Plitvice Lake. We got in the car and drove north till we came upon town - decided this would be a good area for the evening. We came across the "Sobe" sign and popped in to check availability. From the first moment of meeting the owner I knew this would be perfect. He was extremely pleasant and professional, he showed us 2 very large, bright, clean, well appointed rooms. The rooms are just in town, near a couple of restaurants and a grocery store. We had an extremely restful stay and loved that I was able to take a proper shower (good shower-head - stayed in place). In the morning upon check out it was pleasant to be greeted by an outdoor market directly across the street. I would definitely recommend this facility and again the owner is a very courteous and friendly gentleman, even helped my husband...

😊: The room is located in Slunj - a short walk to the beautiful Rastoke. The host is very friendly and informative. The room is nicely decorated and spacious. The bed was comfortable to sleep on. Air conditioning is available if required. The locals pub next door was great for beer at €2 and a coffee at €1.20. We also had lovely little while fried fish there. A fridge, microwave and kettle is supplied as well as 2 mugs and 2 glasses.. 😢: Coffee facilities were only instant sachets. A coffee pod machine of some sort would be great, but the pub next door did serve great coffee. No plates or wine glasses...

The place is very easy to find. lovely hosts. The lady made us a nice welcome coffee and cake. The rooms are big. and the view from the garden amazing. ||The river is just below the end of the garden, but unlike other rooms in rastoke, you can't hear the waterfalls at the room, so you can have a very sweet and restful sleep.||The distance to the rastoke village is a walking distance ( about half a km).
