We did a fair amount of research of the Split area before picking this hotel and we were not disappointed. It is on the outskirts of the main town area (approximately 10 minute drive to the old town) which was what we wanted to suit budget as well as not being in an overly busy area. We were here in June and an Uber to the old town cost between €4.50-€5.50 however this may be more costly in the peak of summer. ||Breakfast was included and is cooked frequently so it’s always fresh. It’s a small buffet but there is plenty to choose from. Food was available between 07:00-10:00 although you can get tea and coffee at any time of the day. ||The pool area is small but also nice and cosy. It doesn’t get too busy as there are not lots of rooms here. Everything is kept very clean. ||Our room was spacious with a comfy bed. Towels changed daily as well as cleaning. The shower was great with plenty of water pressure. Although there is not a bar the room does have a fridge and it’s ok to have your own drinks around the pool. ||There is a sauna room and a jacuzzi and both are kept clean and tidy. ||During our stay in Croatia we had a hire car which was taken in to consideration when booking this hotel based on its location. The main reason for staying in Split was to visit the old town, Krka national park (1 hour drive away) and also drive to other areas close by. There is a beach just 5 minutes walk away but it isn’t very pretty. Kasjuni beach is the best in the area and is only 15 minutes by car which I presume would be €7-10 in June. ||What made our stay better than expected was the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff as well as how clean and tidy they keep it. I would recommend it to couples looking to explore Split and...
Read moreJust enjoyed 9 nights at rooms oasis life. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s away from the businesses of the old town that’s quiet and has a pool to cool off in, this is the place to stay! The rooms were immaculate, cleaned daily with fresh towels etc, the staff were over accommodating and friendly and even though the pool area looked small, it was more than adequate and plenty of sun loungers to choose from. Beach towels are provided so no need to bring one with you. We had a late flight home and the hotel were that good that they allowed us to keep our room the entire day at no extra cost… unheard of these days! Every morning there was a breakfast selection of continental meats, fresh fruit and pastries along with free tea and coffee making facilities throughout the day. There’s a short 5 minute walk to a supermarket for essentials.||The only slight problem was its location. Great for a quiet getaway, but not much surrounding it if you wanted a day round the pool/beach. Not many restaurants as it’s in a residential area, however, we discovered ‘wolt’ (croatias version of deliveroo) which had a huge variety of delivery options for sandwiches, pizzas, burgers that all delivered free of charge through the app and came within about 20 minutes… life saver!||Ubers into the old town seemed set prices of €5 each way, much preferred option over the city taxis, and usually took approx 8 minutes. To walk us around 40 minutes but wouldn’t recommend in the heat of the day and it’s quite hilly.||Overall a really great stay and would 100% come back here if we came to Split again. We even got a bottle of processco and some chocolates on our last day! What a...
Read moreThis hotel, quite deservedly, enjoys an excellent reputation. That said, it may not be to everyone’s taste. Rather than a sprawling resort, it consists of just a handful of rooms and apartments within a recently constructed residential building. The terraces are pleasant, though they do not command any particular view, but the area is reasonably quiet and calm.||There is a modest outdoor pool of approximately ten metres in length, accompanied by a selection of attractive loungers. Indoors, one finds a compact yet elegant spa area, comprising a shower, sauna and Jacuzzi. Breakfast is simple but nonetheless provides all the essentials and beautiful displayed. Owing to the limited number of rooms, the atmosphere throughout the property is warm and intimate, almost familial. The rooms themselves are tastefully appointed and suitably proportioned for a hotel of this category.||The true advantage of this establishment, however, lies in its location: merely 200 metres from a newly developed beach area that continues to be enhanced. In the evenings, an Uber into Split costs around €5 – a far more sensible option than parking a hire car in the city centre. Indeed, this is a hotel best suited to guests with a vehicle who intend to take day trips, for here one enjoys the luxury of complimentary private parking.||Within walking distance there are but a few restaurants, yet they are of commendable quality and provide a perfectly agreeable...
