Lake House — Hotel in Općina Plitvička Jezera

Stayed here one night so that we could enter the park next day at 7 am before tour buses landed

The room was decent sized with attached toilet. Even had a mini refrigerator. Host provided free tea and coffee as well. The house has a lovely backyard - wish we weren’t too tired to enjoy it.

There is enough parking behind and on the side of the house.

We chose to eat outside in a restaurant near Entrance 2 of the park which was about 3 km away

Entrance 1 is about 10 min drive from here (mostly on D1) which is very convenient.

We chose not to have breakfast next day morning as we don’t eat that early and we wanted to visit the park at 7 am. However you can inform host previous night about same and it costs 10 euros per pax.

We stayed here one night in order to visit the national park at 7 am. ||The place is easy is to find through google maps and is just 10 min from entrance 1 of the park. ||Host provides free coffee/ tea. In the morning I also saw some fruits in the kitchen. There is dinner available for 25 Euros and breakfast for 10 Euros. One needs to inform the host in advance for meals. ||If you want to eat out, there are a few options in 3-4 km driving distance. ||The backyard is very big and pretty. Very close to park entrance|Owner was helpful and kind|Internet access was great, even in the huge back yard.|We did not take the breakfast so I have nothing to say about it |On the other hand, for kids there is nothing much to do there after returning from the lakes. The darts and the ping pong table kept them busy only for a short time. The tv has like 300 channels but niether is suitable for kids. The town is sleepy and has nothing to offer. Moreover, the neighbors had this big welcoming swimming pool and that was hard to watch... so you better be aware of it in case you have small children and you plan to return early...
