I do not recommend this place to anyone except one category of visitors, which I will write about at the end.
This is my personal opinion based on facts, and any persecution for this opinion will be considered a violation of freedom of speech.
Twice I was given keys to dirty rooms.
In my opinion, it is not safe to be here. On January 5, 2024, one of the administration representatives told me that if someone openly and with a warning films a person who is threatening you, then they should be put in prison for such video recording.
If bandits threaten you, then there is no protection from them. They can tell the police that you threatened them.
I cannot say whether the opinion of this hotel coincides with the law of this country or not. Let human rights activists and lawyers deal with this. I am expressing the opinion here that if you are prohibited from openly filming someone threatening to attack you personally, then after the attack it will be too late to film. And it’s better not to spend the night in such a place.
Videotaping bans are written to target those who secretly install hidden cameras in hotel bathrooms and toilets and then sell these recordings on the Internet. These are the kind of "businessmen" who need to be punished.
But if a person openly films dangerous or illegal actions to stop and prevent them, then this is necessary and useful for society. And if in some country there is a ban on open filming of threats and illegal actions, then this is beneficial to criminals, thieves and corrupt officials. What is unclear here?
Near Korenica, of course, there is good nature in the surrounding area, mountains, lakes. But this hotel is not the place I recommend to stay overnight.
The only category of people to whom I recommend settling here are researchers of international organizations who study the impact of wars on subsequent generations. One of the Yugoslav conflicts began in these places. For those who don’t know what this is, let me explain - the Yugoslav conflicts are wars with ethnic cleansing and massacres of civilians, women and children. How all this affects people 30 years later remains to be explored.
Of course, this recommendation is only for official explorers accompanied by security guards...
Read moreAs a group we stayed here for two nights. ||The rooms are adequate, clean and small and the beds are comfortable. The ensuite is tiny and impossible to keep dry because the shower screens don’t close properly and water splashes down the back of the vanity basin.||A basic breakfast is provided (ordinary cereals, runny natural or flavoured yoghurt, bread, cucumber, tomato, boiled eggs, packaged pâté, jam, honey, cheese, cold meats, a coffee machine which churns out sweet coffee so I didn’t drink it and the dreaded teabags.) If there are several groups there at a time, breakfast can be a rat race as the breakfast station is small, confined and crowded. Food and crockery runs out often and has to be replaced which happens quickly enough. Tongs are not provided for bread and other items which means questionable hygiene. ||Group dinners are set although a vegetarian option is provided and on the second night we had a choice of fish or meat (but it wasn’t the meat dish we’d expected). The dinners have an unimaginative soup or entree, basic salad (could be just lettuce or could be cucumber, lettuce, tomato and capsicum), a main meal which is large but uninspiring, and a dessert.||Service is friendly and helpful. Reception is...
Read moreThe staff is very friendly. Location is very nice (near to plitvicer Lakes). Breakfast is simple but sufficient. We were during the summer were it can be quite hot, the rooms had no AC, but it was managable (we had rooms on the north side, I dont know how this is on the southside). Rooms are small but good enough.
But one big problem. The bathrooms smell. Like really bad. The 3rd room which was shown to us was endurable. At first it was okay. But already after using the bathroom once it began to stink. I think they have a problem with their sewage system. One time we were sitting in the lobby and I heard other guests comlaining, too. So although the hotel is nice and cheap, the smell is a no go and therefore I can not...
