House Leonarda — Hotel in Općina Rakovica

Heading to Plitvice Lakes and need a place to stay? Look no further! We have stayed in a lot of B&B’ (with alot of lovely hosts), but Mara was a standout!||It was raining lightly when we got there but she was keeping an eye out for us. She ran across the street with a big smile on her face to welcome us and promptly made us feel at home! Room was small but comfy - bed was one of the best in our 22 night trip...but Mara and her breakfast feasts were enough to make us book with her again if we are ever lucky enough to be in the area again! Worth the €8 a person (especially considering how affordable the room was) - so much delicious food that she made sure we packed up lunches to take with us! And it was all tasty - we have regretted not having our “breakfast fairy” for longer. ||She was also so happy we tried speaking Croatian and taught us a few new phrases. Overall lovely stay and she really made our visit that much more special! Do yourself a favor...

I stayed twice at this guesthouse during the trip to Croatia.||It proved a perfect choice.||I was welcomed by Mara, the owner, who was very friendly and helpful.||The room was very clean, large, quiet and with a view to the garden and the fields.||The breakfast (for a reasonable fee), was huge, with a large variety, fresh and tasteful.||There is ample private free parking, and there is fast WiFi.||The guesthouse is located a very convenient 10 min drive to the Lakes Plitvice and The Caves.||I recommend at least a 3 night stay if you want to visit Lake Plitvice’s high and lower area (walking tracks and lake crossing taking the lake boats).||There are also many nearby attractions for active vacationing and for children.||I very much enjoyed the stay at House Leonarda –...

If you want to take a break from the city, visit a cozy place, visit the famous Plitvice Lakes - then this is the place for you. Soft and pleasant strength. Plitvice lakes are 10 minutes away by car. The owner of Apartment Leonarda is a very nice lady Mara and her husband. The room has everything and even more. She takes care of everything. If necessary, even clothes will be pressed and ironed, better than in a dry cleaner. The apartment didn't include a barbecue, we asked if they didn't have it by accident, she solved this issue. Provided everything for this. That was very kind. We had a very good rest. The room is very comfortable. They always asked if everything was fine with us. My family is very grateful for a comfortable vacation....
