I stayed at the Lapida Gardens for a week over Christmas on a walking holiday with Solos. There were 13 of us on our group and a few other guests on other days.||The hotel itself is a little quirky and the family have a very large collection of antiques which are on display throughout the hotel. The gardens and pool area are lovely although as we were staying in December we did not use them much!||My room was on the first floor with a balcony. It was a good size and the bed very comfy. The decoration is quite basic and the shower was functional. ||The restaurant and bar area was spacious and we had a large table our whole group good sit around. There was also a large log fire with sofas around it which we definitely needed in the evenings!||Breakfast was buffet style with a selection of hot and cold dishes. These were tasty enough but could maybe have been a bit more variety on the hot dishes. We had dinner each evening which was tasty home cooked food. Again maybe a bit more variety as each dish was served with rice, potatoes, and salad.||The staff were very friendly and helpful.||This is a small family run hotel so does not have the mod cons of a larger hotel, bit it does have friendly staff and bags of...
Read moreI don't like to make a bad reviews to a business because I know the work behind but .. it was the only room that disappointed me on our trip to Cyprus. The hotel is a museum or an antique shop and the smell of old furniture is everywhere in the building. In the room I was unable to breathe properly until I let the window open for several minutes. It' s a heavy old furniture smell that can create problems for people with respiratory issues. I expect in the room to be a fresh air. The furniture is old and need to be replaced. The bed is uncomfortable. The bathroom door hangs just from above and can harm kids if you don't pay attention to them. The cleaning is superficial. They prepared our room in 15 minutes because they couldn't find us a room even if we reserved online a week before. The positiv aspects: the host is nice and friendly and at the breakfast they serve handmade products made with fruits...
