What an unforgettable experience! This little gem in Lapta serves one of the best and most authentic Turkish breakfasts we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the people welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness, making us feel more like guests in their home than customers.
The breakfast itself was a real feast — a table full of traditional dishes, each one full of flavor and clearly made with care. Freshly baked bread, local cheeses, olives, homemade jams, honey, eggs, and an endless flow of hot tea… everything tasted fresh, natural, and absolutely delicious. The variety was incredible, and you can really tell they use local ingredients and family recipes.
What made it even more special was the atmosphere. Sitting there, enjoying the mountain views and the calm of Lapta while sharing such a rich spread of food, felt like a truly authentic Turkish experience. The service was so attentive without ever feeling rushed, and we left with full stomachs and even fuller hearts.
If you’re in the area, this place is an absolute must. Not only for the amazing food, but also for the people who make the experience so memorable. We can’t wait to...
Read moreWe had a faultless breakfast here recently so called in for coffee as we knew the new coffee machine should have arrived. I unashamedly enjoy cappuccinos or lattes as I find Turkish coffee too bitter and strong (my husband loves it) and neither of us like nescafe.
At first we were told the machine had broken and we started to leave as we didn’t need to eat this visit. However, one of the super staff quickly realised it just needed a water top up and we were soon relaxing, enjoying our coffees.
I mentioned that the wooden chairs are rather hard (now I'm being picky!) but staff assured me they are making cushions, plus, importantly, they have a few to hand, so just ask if you fancy one!
We love this establishment and really want to see it succeed. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
Yes, there's noise from the road but the pretty garden and decor, fab food and coffee plus super friendly staff easily make up for it. I love the little hand embroidered wall decorations.
Good luck to them and if you haven’t been...
Read moreOmlet......What an amazing place that has just opened in Lapta. Proper food presented well and with a friendly family feel. We went in a couple of weeks ago to see when they were going to be open and were told it would be soon, but they had a couple things more to sort with the Beleyedisi and to keep loking as we drove by......so we did....and took our chance this morning !
The Turkish breakfast is excellent. Honestly I didn't think the table would hold it all there was so many different dishes. The omelettes and egg dishes were also good...although truth be told the Turkish breakfast was more than enough by itself.
It will be a regular stop for us now for sure.
The only disappointment for us was the lack of variety in coffees. You can get Turkish coffee or Nescafe but this won't suit a lot of punters - ourselves included. I for one, like a longer coffee (think Americano) and wifey a frothy white (Latte or Cappucino). Put a good machine in and basic barista skills and this place will...
