Well what can I say about the Elysso Hotel. I was initially concerned about staying here after reading the reviews of others, but as we booked so late we were very limited for choice. After a bit of a nightmare with our flights, my partner and I arrived later than our booked date. There was an initial issue with our room but Kostas dealt with it immediately and efficiently. We settled in comfortably. The room was a good size and the bed was huge. The mattress was a bit hard but still got a good night's sleep, although sometimes hot. But dialling 0 (zero) to ask for the air conditioning to be switched on was not an issue for either myself and partner or the reception staff-any time of the day or night. The shower was lovely and refreshing with good pressure. There is TV and a fridge with a small freezer compartment and a good sized wardrobe. Additionally 2 night stands and a dressing table. So plenty of storage space for personal belongings. The cleaning staff Elena and Anna were lovely and helpful the done a good job every day, nothing was too much trouble. I really enjoyed the breakfast...my partner not so much, he is fussy, me not as much. I ate what he didn't like he ate what I didn't like. We had breakfast included in our stay...for a 2 star hotel with a cost of approximately 6€, what do people expect. I thought it was ample for the appropriate 'starage' of the hotel. The kitchen area was immaculately clean. The pool was clean and cleaned regularly. We really enjoyed our time by the pool, and being on the roof, it had spectacular views of the area. With a little tlc it could be even more lovely. Every evening when we returned to the hotel after our evenings out my partner and I would sit and chat with the lovely staff. Elena the day reception lady was so sweet and funny. She is a gem. Panayiota the owners daughter who also does reception and many other duties was so helpful and caring, my partner wasn't well for a few days and she helped me in preparing some homemade remedies for him while he was in bed. She is such a sweet humble young lady. George the reception guy was so chatty and helpful too, he was so lovely, professional and friendly. George the owner was such a lovely man, we would always take time out of our day to chat to him and keep him company, he dedicates so much time to the hotel and apartments it is very tiring especially at his age he was so adorable. Always asking what adventure we had been on during each day. Most breakfasts we were getting extra treats, like sweet cheese pies...🤤🤤🤤 which I love. Lastly but defo not least is Kostas. Love love love him. What a wonderful human. I spent so much time chatting with him almost every evening. He is so funny, entertaining and such a gentleman. I miss him the most, probably because myself and my partner are night owls, Kostas works night reception 6 nights a week he is AMAZING. I personally like the location of the hotel but that is my preference as I don't like to be in the thick of the hustle and bustle. The walk to the beach, main bus stops, restaurants etc is only about a 15-20 min walk. There is a large hypermarket about a 5 min walk from the hotel with much better prices than typical tourist shops. Cans of cold coffee were only 1€. There is a great sandwich shop 5 mins away too that is open late. Aswell as a kiosk 5 mins away. These are good to stock up the fridge in the room. Over all I loved my stay at the Elysso, so much so I am planning to go back with my adult twin daughters next year. Perhaps with my partner another time next year too. It goes to show that reviews are subject to expectation and I have never been happier with where I have ended up. Yes the hotel is a little dated and old but we didn't care, its about the service. No matter what we asked for or wanted nothing was ever too much trouble. we LOVED our time there. Thank you so much to all at the Elysso, we had a wonderful time with you all, missing you all very much kindest regards Rosanna and David. Xxx ❤️ 😘😘

Located within a 20 minutes walking distance from Larnaca's city center and between 2 stops of public bus reachable within 5 minutes. Many good restaurants and a big cheap supermarket in the neighborhood. Consists of a main hotel and a separate "appartments" building. Nice, clean pool on the roof of the hotel with a view on the city. Very good breakfast, served in front or inside the main hotel. Air-condition and fridge in the rooms. Free WiFi of sufficient speed and stability. Friendly, professional and attendive staff. Lack of kettle and soap in the rooms. If you care about the pool and the breakfast, than Elysso Hotel is a right choice. Recommended.

I liked the fact I chose 23:00-00:00 to check in, but I got there at 2am and there were people to check me in. Also the air conditioning was for free if I'm not wrong, because when I got to the room it was turned on and there was a air conditioner remote. But... the room was very very old-fashioned and the bed was really hard, I'm not used to it, as well as my fiancée and we had a big problem to fall asleep, though it was 2am. The plates in the room was really old, rusted and not good looking, I would definitely not use them even if I had to. The breakfast was good. Price was very good too :)
