LUXURY CITY ROOM — Hotel in Larnaca

What did I like? The location was convenient, close to the city centre.

What I didn’t like? We booked Luxury City Rooms Larnaca expecting a safe and comfortable stay, but experienced multiple serious problems:

We were first given a room without a balcony (despite the booking). When we were moved to another room, we discovered the doors could be opened even when locked and the balcony door could not be locked at all.

Ants and poor hygiene in the shared kitchen.

Our food was stolen from the shared fridge, even though it was stored in a closed bag.

One night, a man was sleeping on the floor in the shared living room. Another night, we were woken after midnight by aggressive knocking, demanding we change rooms again.

We felt completely unsafe and had to leave early, booking new accommodation at our own expense. When we reported everything, the only response from the property was “We will inform our authorities,” which they repeated several times with no real action. Booking.com also tried to contact them, but they ignored all communication.

We informed the host of our late arrival. The room was filthy and the host was so unhelpful. Saying all of the other rooms are taken and then cleaners will come in the morning. So where should we sleep until then??? Then we complained to booking.com and then the host is all of the sudden offering a different room and changes his tune. Absolutely ridiculous and please do not repeat our mistake and give these people money because they do not care about their guests. We left the same night and at 2am found another accommodation. We are being a refused a refund for this situation because the host lied to booking and told them they offered an alternative room. By that point, we had no reason to trust these guys. The worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. The room door couldn’t close properly, the bathroom was extremely dirty and in very poor condition, and the bed was squeaky. There was no kitchenware at all. Every noise from outside the room could be clearly heard. The cleaning staff was extremely loud while cleaning the rooms and hallways, they were banging and shouting while we were trying to sleep. For the price we paid, you can definitely find a much cleaner place with decent furniture and proper conditions for a comfortable stay. A really bad experience, I wouldn’t...
