Hotel Atlantis, a.s. — Hotel in okres Brno-venkov

The hotel is located between the lake and the small downtown village near Burno.

Very clean room and you can open the windows. There is also windo in the bath room. Covers are dry. Towels have a bit smell from the washing liquid, but acceptable. Hooks for hanging clothes near the main bed.

The room was furnished very well. It is for me more than a 3-star hotel. It could be four star 🌟

The breakfast was also good. Not so much change. But for two days it was fine for me. Coffee machine was super with lots of coffee or hot drink variants. Bread variants also more than what I expected. Very good! The toaster is too week and too small. A professional hotel rolling toaster device would be more suitable.

The swimming pools and the big garden with playground and chess plate is very nice. There is a bar also for outdoor pool. A swimming area w/o cloth is near the Wellness area.

The staff at the Wellness and swimming pools were very kind and professional. We thank Mr. Langr (wellness Manager) very much for giving the first aid for my younger son, because he has hit his nose in the pool abd the nose was bleeding.

Some drawbacks for me regarding this hotel: There are no restaurants in walking distance. Our room (for four people) has only one toilet.

There are metal parts on both sides of the sofabed which is hurting the legs of my kids.

There is no gym room. Room service standard. Tea bags were not refilled and used cups are not replaced by new.

But I would highly recommend this hotel and will...

Pros: Location outside of everything, free wifi, good breakfast and food in general with big variety, big parking in front of the hotel, swimming pool (although could be heated and opened whole year) and outdoor children playground, elevator, family rooms, safe in the room, 24/7 reception service

Cons: Casino in near proximity of the hotel (for someone could be pros), noisy rooms especially during night, no indoor playground for kids, furniture from 70s, not very comfortable, terrible light system in the room. Service is poor in all dimensions, there was only one waitress during breakfast who had no capacity to provide service to everyone (to clean tables, bring new food etc.). Excuse were, "we are busy with big group" OMG hotel shall expect to be busy, this the reason to earn money. If you arrive they don't offer anything interesting, no marketing of additional products, point of interest... This is the way to make money. They are still back in 70s - 80s. There is no sommelier neither waitress helping you with wine selection during the dinner (they have no clue about the wine on the menu). Again poor marketing and selling skills. Receptionist when seats she is hardly visible when you pass arround (except one blonde who was always smiling). There is no SPA although there is enough place to build it (this hotel could be big jewel, instead of it, this is just another average...

Great attentive staff, clean hotel and a great spa, nice selection at breakfast. But right after the check-in going to the spa and asking to reserve a massage, were told we needed to book at least 3 days ahead. Therefore not a spa hotel as they must allow external customers without priority to book for th hotel customers. There is a quick fix, notifying hotel guests about slots filling in prior to their arrival so they have ability to book a massage. How annoying... Good problem to have not enough masseurs. We travel a lot, but hasn't came across this situation in abroad. This is not how you upsell services is it? I didn't book last minute but many weeks ahead.

Have to mention the excellent kitchen and service we had during the weekend. Absolutely excellent dishes, amazing execution. Well well done!, (if the kitchen wasn't so good my review would be much worse overall ). Some guests can't truly understand the level of standard going to the food, kitchen itself 5 stars plus ! Thank you!!! Well appreciate your hard work

Rooms lack any sort of sound proofing, you hear everything. No kettle ( basic), room decor needs a true designer work.
