Mezní Louka / Rainwiese Campsite — Hotel in okres Děčín

This campsite has a great location as a starting point for hikes to some of the most famous attractions of the area. Also, it's conveniently located by the main road which is served by local buses connecting all the main tourist spots which is particularly useful for those who come without a car and/or with kids who sometimes need to cut the hikes shorter. The camp is small, green, not very crowded and pleasantly quiet, and there's a nice playground next to it, right by the bus stop. Unfortunately, it doesn't really stand up to its potential. It's a pity, the chalets which form the heart of the camp (which lies on a slope and therefore is not that great for putting up tents) are not maintained, have fallen into decay and have been closed for several years according to the staff of the neighboring hotel where you have to pay for using the camp. The staff of the hotel informed us, the camp is a property of the National Park which doesn't invest much in its maintenance. Only the terraces of the decaying chalets are now used for sitting around, cooking and hanging up wet laundry or towels on the railings by those who put up their tents among and around them. The greatest flaw of the camp however, are its bathrooms, which are newly restored, but are not cleaned well. There was at times a terrible smell in the showers, and there was regularly no hot or even warm water in the evenings. Considering there are no other facilities such as a kitchen, a small shop or a stall with refreshments in the camp, the price you pay is rather high for...

We spent a wonderful time here with our campervan and our two kids. It's a quiet spot with hiking trails starting at the campsite. When you are tired of those you can take the bus just in front of the campsite to explore other places and trails in this magical area. There are new owners since a few months, that are super friendly and helpful, so please ignore the older reviews! There is no shop here to buy groceries, but there is a kiosk to buy food and restaurants close by. This is the perfect laid back spot for a quiet time and exploring. No partyfolk here. Schön gelegener Campingplatz, sehr schlecht geführt. Der Platz liegt herrlich verträumt im Wald und ist ein super Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Zum Prebischtor ist es ein Katzensprung. Die Busverbindung schafft bestimmt noch mehr Möglichkeiten, habe mir das aber nicht näher angeschaut. Die Zeltwiese ist gut gepflegt, aber zum großteil am Hang, man rutscht beim Schlafen im Zelt auf der Isomatte. Es stehen aber viele verfallene Hütten auf der Wiese, die offenbar nicht mehr gepflegt und auch nicht mehr vermietet werden. Vermutlich werden hier einfach die Kosten für die Entsorgung der Eternit Dachplatten (Asbest) verschleppt. Parkplätze für Autos gibt es einige, kann aber knapp werden wenn viel los ist. Sanitäre Anlagen sind viel zu wenige da für den Betrieb und sie sind sehr dreckig. Es gibt Dusche mit Toiletten und einen Raum zum Spülen. Keine Küche. Warmes Wasser gibt es offenbar nur morgens, aber Abends gibts nur noch kalte Duschen. Das hab ich noch nie erlebt. Zwar wird 2x täglich geputzt, dabei wird aber im Wesentlichen der Boden geschrubbt. Oberflächen, spülen und Wände bleiben dreckig. Außerdem steht immer ein bisschen Wasser auf dem Boden, so dass es sofort wieder schlammig aussieht wenn ein paar Leute drin waren, selbst bei Badelatschen. Man kann nichts abstellen, weil alles so dreckig ist. Haken an der Wand gibt es auch fast nirgends, nur in der Dusche. Sehr viele Fliegen überall, fliegende und tote. Keine Möglichkeit zum Einkaufen in der Nähe, auch nicht fürs Frühstück. Gibt aber einen Imbiss und ein Restaurant (nicht getestet) direkt nebenan. Kein WLan und auch nur schlechter bis kein Empfang für mobiles Internet, zumindest bei mir mit T-Mobile. Schlecht wenn man spontan noch für eine Tour recherchieren und nen GPX Track herunterladen will. Der Preis ist günstig, aber auch mehr wäre auch nicht gerechtfertigt.
