Hostinec Mezní Louka — Restaurant in okres Děčín

Generally speaking this place is just another TOURIST TRAP with a rude service. We went for a late lunch with my friend, parked outside the garden and went inside. We order some drinks and food which were quite expensive but we didn't care. It was late to find another place. Food was ok but what happened next was probably THE WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE. When we wanted to pay the bill I said I want to pay by card. The waitress told hid the terminal and told us we can't pay by card and it's cash only, CZK or EUR. We said we weren't aware and why she didn't tell us at the beginning and that we don't have a cash. She offered to use one of the nearby EXPENSIVE ATMs to withdraw the money. After a short conversation we asked if we can make a bank transfer to avoid unnecessary fees and loss of time looking for one of those ATMs. She said ok, go to the hotel reception and pay by card there so that's what I've done. At the reception was some rude man that looked like he was in the fight a few hours ago and probably under influence of some drugs. The man despite our ask and what waitress proposed refused to accept card payment, even when I saw a terminal upfront me... I've decided to come back to the table and ask waitress again about solution. She went to speak to that guy but apparently that made him angry because guy just jumped on us saying that we aren't going anywhere without paying and that I can "kiss my mom" or something like that from what I understood (he started speaking in Czech very quickly). I said to him that's enough and he can call the police because we aren't going to be treated this way. It was another 10 minutes of a nightmare argument with that man who was smiling silly wanted to fight us or something. Definitely he was using something. We decided to pay in our currently a little more than we owned but the experience was afewul. AVOID AT ALL COST. It's expensive and...

We went there three times in Sept 2025, tasted nine different dishes - all yummy, fresh, served quickly and prettily! As other reviews already state - the food and the service is far better than in restaurants in Hrensko, and also - the potato chips with a blue cheese dip are a secret hint :) you have to try them! We were very happy to discover this place and kept coming back. A clear recommendation! The unclear parking policy should be improved though - it is free when it is too late to hike around. Otherwise, the restaurant clients have to pay for a whole day even if only staying for 45 min, which is not elegant at all. Of course, it is hard to enforce punctuality of leaving the lot without an automatic barrier, but still - there are some restaurant guests who simply would like eat and they should not be punished for touristic hordes using the lot for other reasons. Food was disappointing and service even worse. They brought main dishes before the starters. The prosecco was flat with no bubbles at all. Duck was dry, the fillet completely inedible — we had to leave it untouched. Even the potatoes were dry. Only the soup was good, and the beetroot with goat cheese and salad were ok. The waiter himself was nice and not to blame, but the overall experience was a big disappointment.

Your response is shockingly unprofessional. Instead of owning up to the terrible food, you brushed it off like timing and flat prosecco were the only issues. The duck was dry, the fillet completely inedible, the potatoes dry — this isn’t nitpicking, it’s just bad cooking.
