(CZ) |Nase nespokojenost s nedávným pobytem v Garni Hotelu Svitavy. Celkově jseme byli s poskytovanou službou a zacházením během naseho pobytu velmi zklamáni. Nedostatečná čistota, špatné vybavení pokoje a neodpovídající chování personálu z něj udělaly nepříjemnou zkušenost. Její výjimečná služba a pozornost k detailům opravdu změnily naši zkušenost a oceňujeme její oddanost v poskytování vynikajícího pohostinství. (Bohužel si nepamatuji její jméno, abych jí mohl dát záslužné uznání.)||(EN)|My dissatisfaction with the recent stay at your hotel. We have been a regular guest at Garni Hotel Svitavy over the last few years, but this time We were extremely unhappy from the very beginning of our stay.|We had booked a room (we got room 101) for four nights and then extended it for eight nights, which meant we paid a significant amount of money. However, on the first night, we were given a disability room which had absolutely nothing in it, except for a bed, a desk with a chair, and a kettle. There was no wardrobe or bedside table, or lamps and the TV had only three programs. This was not suitable for an eight-night stay.|The next morning, I asked the women (old women) who was making breakfast if we could get another room, as the current one was awful. She initially told us that the room was under construction and not fully ready, but later said that she did not have any other room available. She even suggested that we should find another hotel. We were surprised by her attitude but agreed to move to a different room the following day.|The new room, 105, had a wardrobe and a small black oval bedside table, but there were no lamps, no desk or table, and no chair. I asked the woman if she could find a room with a table and chair, but she said she still did not have any other room available, and if we did not like it, we could find another hotel. She promised that a desk would be added to the room the next day.|Later in the evening, I saw the woman leaving notes to other staff for next day with the rooms that were dirty, even though there were at least six empty rooms on the second floor that day. It was clear that she was not being truthful about the availability of rooms.|During our entire eight-day stay, our bed was not changed, and we only received new towels twice. The room was not cleaned, and the shower floor was not cleaned either. This is not acceptable for money that we paid.|Moreover, I fell sick during the stay, and as there was no kettle in the room, I had to ask the old woman for hot water for my tea. I remember from my previous stays that the young women had no problem allowing me to switch on the coffee machine they have there and have a cup of tea or coffee in the evening. However, when I attempted to do the same on the day of check-out, the old woman was very angry and shouted at me, saying that I cannot do it. She even said that she did not care if I was sick or not and that I should have found a different hotel.|Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service and treatment that I received during my stay. The lack of cleanliness, poor room facilities, and the staff's unprofessionalism made it an unpleasant experience.|I will add that the young girl who assisted us during our stay was extremely helpful and welcoming. She went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible, which is why we did continue to choose this hotel for our stays. Her exceptional service and attention to detail truly made a difference in our experience, and we appreciate her dedication to providing outstanding hospitality. (unfortunately, I can’t remember her name to give her the credit...
Read moreThe room had good heating, disposable slippers, but no refrigerator. Hot water worked properly, but there was a tap that opened hard and splashed clothes. Unfortunately, we were given a room for the disabled and the shower was also for people in a wheelchair, we were given this room without specifying whether we needed it. It was a little noisy to fall asleep, because the hotel staff room was nearby. You need to open the room and the door to the hotel with a password - this can be a little inconvenient and disturbing, it seems to me for people with disabilities - typing a password can be especially problematic. The breakfast was continental, fresh, there is a coffee machine with delicious coffee and sweet pastries, but the choice of food is limited. The hotel has a large open parking lot. We were also on a business trip and it was important to rest, but unfortunately we got a room next to a construction site. It was impossible to close the blinds and this interfered with a comfortable sleep. I do not recommend choosing this hotel for a business trip, you will not be able to rest...
Read moreThe hotel situated some 5-10 min walk from the town centre in a quiet neighbourhood though there is a school on the opposite side of the street. The hotel is very clean, has protected parking lot and is very tastefully furnished and decorated. There are complimentary bottles of water, body lotion and even bath salts - things that one would not necessarily expected in a three star hotel. What is more, hotel guests have free access to a biliard room and the neighbouring swimming pool (both outdoor and indoor). At least for us it was very nice surprise to have an opportunity to spend some time in the pool with a steam cabin, jacuzzi and a toboggan after a busy day. ||As the hotel is rather small the breakfast is adequately modest which could be a problem for somebody planning a longer stay. It also does not have a night reception service but these are things one is willing to accept when planning to stay in a hotel which is labelled as "garni". So it does not change the fact we would highly recommend the hotel to our friends that would want to spend a couple of days in the...
