We visited Orlík in June 2023 for two nights. We wanted an authentic and relaxing welness weekend in the mountains. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. ||First of all - the driveaway. We read many reviews before our trip and we were prepared for "kind of worse driveaway". What emerged ahead of us 600m from the place was like a really foresty-bumby-stairway to heaven. I consider myself as a skilled driver and i had a big problem to stay on the road in some sensible way. ||The owner and the staff were simply great. Kind, helpful and funny. Ms Adéla's kareoke nights was unforgetable. Unfortunately, the whole place smells with mustiness, even the pillows, but it was clean and tidy besides. Dont get me wrong, me and my girlfriend are quite bit adventurous and we can bow to some standards, but we were not prepared for the state of welness. ||The only "okay" thing was sauna. Hot tub was dirty with a pieces of skin floating around. The whole floor was wet and there was a really humid air, almost unbreathable. Once we tried to open the window, to get some fresh air, we noticed there is a mold all around. We gave it a shot the second day and it was maybe even worse. We wen there for relax, so we did not take phones, so no photos. Welness has a very strict hygiene demands here in Czech republic and those were far from meeting. After each customer, they should disinfect all the seatings areas, shower, sauna and mop the floor and the toilet. That surely wasnt completed since the other customers left the room like 5-10 mins before us.||The food was okay. But even with our all-inclusive, there was only 1 meat, 1 side and 1 salad. Desserts were mostly frozen and there was some whole cheese you had to cut by yourself, same case for vegetable or fruit. Since the place is selling honey, there was none to add into my tea. Ironic. When it comes to drinks - there was almost everything included in our all-inclusive, but only from 14pm to 20pm. After 20pm, you pay for everything. For someone who wants to trek the mountains and return for dinner and then chill on the glorious porch, its not worth it. You also gain some discount on drinks after 20pm, but we went for Bohemia sekt, which had 250,- discount, but we paid 250,- nonetheless. Dont get me wrong, but you can buy the same bottle in every supermarket for 190,-. Bit of a rip off.||Speaking of porch - the view was breathtaking and its definitely the best view in whole town.||To summarize - I would gladly recommend looking for other place in Pec, because the money we paid for this were in the same price group as the other, more luxurious...
Read moreVery small rooms, and extremely small bathroom, we didn't even have space where to put the towels. The building was definitely after reconstruction and dirt could still be seen in the rooms. ||Due to icy and snowy roads our car could not go up the hill, the owner picked us up and for a 2 min ride we paid 200CZK, and for the car parking in the city for the whole weekend. ||Beside that owner was nice, food was very tasty and never ran out. :) ||Nice location, gorgeous view. ||If the thinking would not be: get the most and give the minimum, would be a very well valued accomodation.||Ah and personnel: during the whole weekend i felt so sorry for them, I could see how...
