I am rating this establishment with one star for the clean and nice room. Unfortunately, I have to write a bad review because I feel like the staff needs to go. Me and my friend purchased a sauna entry for about 450 CZK, which is pretty expensive for something I don't even pay for in my gym. When we wanted to refresh after 15 minutes, to our horror the icy water tank was empty. When we asked the staff why the tank is empty and why we're paying this much for half a service, the young lady was very unproffessional and did not show any compassion whatsoever. She said that she told us to refresh in the stream running behind it (!). Just to give a little bit of context, there was a stream, but the access was extremely uncomfortable made out of rocks and there were signs all over the place not to approach the stream, danger and access on your own risk. Plus, it was getting dark by then so we clearly could not do that. But she repeated that and she was also saying that she told us so which is clearly a lie, because we would have never agreed with that. The breakfast was not too bad but again. It seemed like the guests are disturbing the staff having a party. Not replacing juices and water, no cleaning up the tables. Instead they were standing behing the counter chitchatting and laughing. The last drop was one of the young man talking to a local person at the entrance door when we were leaving, telling her that he is tired of the guests. In front of the guests. I mean, their behaviour was so bad that it was almost comical. Dear owner, please make these people gone. They are ruining...
Read moreHotel Hvezda has an excellent location in the centre of the ski resort Pec pod Snezkou, near the local supermarket, next to a small lift which will get you to the main slopes and if there is not enough snow , a ski bus stop is right next to the hotel. It is possible door to door skiing from the ski slopes if snow condition are good. |The hotel itself is basic, wooden czech style cozy style. I would rate it 2 stars. The food in the restaurant is typical heavy czech food with a good beer and wine. Rooms are clean and warm, our room was facing the main road and occasionally we could hear some noise. I would recommend a room facing the other way. You can hear children running around the corridors if you are located on the first floor near the stairs but it depends who is staying in the hotel.|Breakfast didn't start until 8am and the door wouldn't open before so if you are an early riser you have to wait...|If you are not looking for a luxury but a convenient and a good value hotel in the centre I would definitely recommend...
Read moreBIZAR😵😵😵 Probably the worst place to go in Pec. Dogs are inside the restaurant and kitchen, so hairs are in everything! I had lečo with 5 pieces of potatoes and my friend had beef stake with burned down vegetable. It was the most experience meal we had in Pec ever. They served the burnt, stiff as hell stake on heated up cast iron pan placed on wooden chopping board. The board was sooo old and used up that it didn't stay flat on the table 🤣🤣 and it was rocking from side to side the whole time🤣🤣 she was trying to cut through her stake.
When we paid they charged me for extra potatoes, yes I did order it, but as they didn't have it on the menu I didn't expect extra charge. Is that even legal?🤔 ANd the menu... The MENU...... disgusting, dirty piece of paper stapled on cardboard😵 The whole disaster was so fricking expensive that we thought for couple minutes the waiter...
