Pension Modřín Wellness — Hotel in okres Trutnov

This was a disappointment. The green mountain views from this rustic hotel are beautiful, and the steam room and sauna in the wellness center were excellent, but the rest was rather disappointing. The layout of this pension (which has no elevator) is very confusing, but it has poor or no signs to direct you to your room. When I took the wrong turn, I was yelled at in Czech by an employee who forgot that hotels sometimes have guest from other countries, who cannot read Czech language signs. Two of the three lamps in our room did not work, and informing the staff produced no result. There was no soap in the bathroom, and the WiFi (which was fast for a hotel) was turned off intentionally at the restaurant. The nearby construction was noisy, and the food at the restaurant was below average (especially the included breakfast.) If you are looking for an excellent steam room and sauna, this is a good choice. For a comfortable, well-run hotel...
