We're staying in Zlín for the 6th consecutive year and after 5 years of moderate hotels, we now booked a room in Penzion Sokolská. This is by far the best stay we ever had in Zlín. The rooms are new, modernly furnished and super clean. Even though our room (#2) is situated on the road side, you don't have too much noise from the street. Big plusses are the welcoming by the owner. She apologized for not speaking very well english, but she did it well. There is also a private parking with gate which is monitored with cameras. If you want, you can also order breakfast, which is then brought to your room. We did not pay for this as we always had to leave quite early. For all rooms (3 + appartment), there is also one small kitchen where you can take coffee and tea for free. If I come back to Zlín, Penzion Sokolská will definitely be on my list as I am super happy we found this cute little...
Read moreWe’ve visited Zlin for a festival and stayed in this penzion for two nights. The rooms have been done to a great standard, very modern and comfortable. We could use a small but functional kitchen - which we shared with two other rooms. The bathroom was superbly clean. The new outdoor pool (open for the first season this year) and a very nice sitting area outside was amazing - we’ve made use of it as it was a hot summer day. Location was great too, shop across the road, public transport was handy, it took us 20 minutes to walk to Batuv Institut and there was a few pubs on the way. The staff (owner) couldn’t help us enough - the lady is perfect for this business, very helpful and friendly. There is a safe car park in the back - and we could park our motorbike under a roof, which was definitely an...
Read moreSpacious room. Very modern and clean. ||We paid for breakfast which was well worth the 3 Euros. Bread rolls, ham, cheese, yoghurt and a sweet pastry set us up for the day and we didn't need to eat again until dinner.||To be incredibly picky, the room could have done with a mirror as the only mirror was in the bathroom.||One point to note is that if you are paying the hotel direct, they don't take credit card so make sure you have cash. I didn't realise this as I had secured the booking with credit card so assumed I could pay be credit card as well and then had to go to the ATM to...
